Lovely presentation and look of the tank, will definitely be picking this one up. However, just so people know the shamrock has three leaves not 4 as in the banner, although the ones on the tank itself are definitely shamrocks (the four leaved ones could just be 4 leaved clovers which are a symbol of luck, another thing associated with Ireland).
spoke too soon the marking are actually terrible and need to be fixed. Please.

No. The Irish didn’t build their own tanks(at least not enough to make a TT out of!). The Banshee Comet is a one-off Premium that is loosely based on the Comets which were operated by Irish regiments.

The good:
1: The visuals of the vehicle are fantastic. A+ on the design work.
2: It is nice to see some other nations getting a bit of a nod from Wargaming.
The bad:
1: It is a direct copy of the tech tree Comet with slightly improved aim time (2.1 compared to the Comets 2.3)
2: It is the most expensive tier 7 premium medium in the game at 7900 for the base vehicle (T23E3 is 7000, Kraft Panther is 6200, and Panther/M10 is 5750).
Overall, not a bad tank.

Looks pretty cool I have to say, nice and historical.
Though, it's a bit odd that it has historical British markings (Guards Armoured Division) so one has to assume this is a tank to represent Northern Ireland (who had troops in the GAD).
I almost wonder if it might have made more sense to release this as a HMH tank, and have a seperate more Irish one if you wanted it to actually represent Ireland.
Also yes pretty damn expensive for a VII, I was tempted by the idea of a prem Comet but not for that price.

So, if you know it's completely off topic and nothing to do with the discussion, why even bother posting it?

About those markings that is a major major issue. Why did they have to put Guards Armoured Division markings on it. Its supposed to be for the Republic of Ireland. Its got the grey paint like the Irish one, not green like the British. Why couldn't they put this on it:
This is the symbol used on the Curragh Comet.

Max,
I see some sandbags on it. Do they provide extra spaced armour? Is there anything about it other than slightly better aim time that makes it differant from the tt Comet from a performance stand point?

I was thinking you'd show up lol, but it is true that this is a hilarious mistake from WG and another case of their poor research. I doubt offense was intended they probably just googled 'Comet tank' and based it on the first pic they saw...
I think it looks neat, but I agree with you it doesn't celebrate Ireland at all lol.
It still would have looked cool with the Irish armoured symbol

I still have hope that they might swap the two emblems around, it'd be pretty easy. Please Rai could you please communicate this to the devs or whoever is involved in this sort of thing.

I'm very curious if there is something else that sets it apart from the TT Comet. The Hammer for example has slightly more hitpoints then the TT Tiger but has worse mobility to offset it. On paper from what I can see, the slightly better aim time is the only difference.
