Calling the Comet mediocre is offensive.

This.... the comet is one of the better tier vii mediums in the game. However it seems many player have no clue how to play it properly and then assume it's bad.

I play for fun, not for stats..... but I always play to WIN!!

Really is this what we have come to now in this game, we now have to pay for ops?  This is supposed to be a free to play game but lately it's been turning into your basic pay to win.

Everyone complaining already that it's better then the tech tree tank needs to relax. You don't even have all the information yet. You are basing these claims off a slightly better aim time alone. Come tomorrow when you can see all the stats if you were to find out it's dispersion while moving and after firing is worse and it's terrain resistance is worse will you still be complaining over it's.2 second improved aim time ? In another post I asked Max if there are other differences besides the aim time and he said there were and that we will see them tomorrow.

Ok you may resume your complaining about a better version then the tech tree as not only the aim time is better but the dispersion on the move is better and the terrain resistance is better only at the cost of very poor signal range. If you like the comet as I do you are going to love it.

So compared to the Cromwell B:-

6mm more pen on prem rounds (3mm on ap)

5 more damage

25mm more turret armour

Significant differences are the 60% Silver bonus (35% better than the CB)

20m more viewrange

0.2s better aimtime and 0.02 better base accuracy.

Tier 7 rather than 6 (obvs)

But it has 5hp/ton less and costs more than double the Cromwell?

I don't think a 75% Crew training bonus would hurt it...

Where are you seeing the info on dispersion and terrain resistances? I'm assuming this is being shown in the in game store?  I'm stuck at work and can't see it myself.  How big of a difference are we talking?

I think the Banshee dispersion is

0.34

0.51*

1.18

I looked earlier in game. Sorry I don't have the top TT Comet to compare so can't see terrain and dispersion for that.

*Edited - sorry, put 0.59 from memory.   #old...

:)

Comparing the Banshee Comet to the Cromwell B only does more injustice to the former!

First of all it's a tier VII vs. a tier VI and the differences mentioned here (except Silver bonus) are tiny!

Second the Cromwells in general are more agile mediums with better gun handling than the Comet.

Third 8,100 gold is the price of a good tier VIII light or medium (Hollenhund, Type-59, Panther Mit 8.8, Super Pershing)! I don't think the Comet is better than any of those.

I'm not currently home to compare for you but I took these pictures of the Banshees stats when I was comparing to make it easier.

Agreed, I forgot to mention the 20m viewrange advantage the Comet gets. That is a noteworthy difference.

Not sure that it's 5k gold worthy though! I just thought it was worth pointing out as many will have the Cromwell B, but might be considering the Banshee separately because they are different tiers. I know I was. Ultimately gun stats on the Banshee are a little better, but the Silver bonus will be offset by the lack of extra pen at a tier higher.

I'm not sure if I would rather have an FV4202P for the same price (once camo'd). But the Cromwell B will play similarly for a lot less.

yep, but I'm hoping they'll change it. The proper emblem is my profile pic which is for the Curragh Command

Bit of a blunder given the history between the UK and Ireland, especially involving the British Military

Now I know how Joan of Arc felt

8k gold for a tier VII medium? I'll wait for the earn op.
My Tank Collection //Last Updated 06/21/2018\\:

Semi-retired from WoT. I'll still come back for earn ops, freebies, and new nations/tanks, but these days I do the majority of my tanking in AW and GuP: DTM.
Premium Tank bucket list: Patriot, Stark, VK 168.01, Nomad, AT 15A, HMH T-34-85M, and comic tanks. After that, I'm done buying premium tanks unless Console gets new nations, tier IX and/or X premiums, certain licensed/movie/VC tanks, or certain reskins I've requested.
