Clan Perks, Clan Ops, Clan Emblems - Make WOT Social Again!

Goal of these proposals is to give clans meaning beyond just a five letter tag.

 

Clan Perks:

Clan Perks are global benefits for all clan members. Unlike crew skills/perks, clan perks do not impact gameplay directly. Only one perk can be selected, which is active for the duration of the week. A second perk (or same perk) can be queued up to ensure no lapse in benefits. Examples of perks:

 

1. Scholar - 10% bonus crew experience per match

2. Tinker - 5% bonus tank experience per match

3. Mercenary - 5% bonus silver per match

4. Operator - Ability to select one additional operation (ups cap to 4)

5. Specialist - Adds an additional completion to all (non-event) ops, but reduces selectable concurrent operations to 2 (default 3)

6. Nationalist - 10% tank experience per match, nation specific (e.g. French Nationalist)

7. Investor - adds 5,000 silver lump sum payout weekly, per tank currently in garage.

 

Clan Leaders can set perk selection in one of three modes:

 

1. Authority - Clan Leader or XO chooses Clan Perk for the clan.

2. Democracy - Clan members vote for the clan perk they want. More weight added to leaders/XO/recruiters in tie breakers.

3. Anarchy - Default setting. RNG randomly selects perk.

 

Different perks may be picked to coincide with On-Track, Earn a Tank, or other WG events, based on the priorties of that clan. Or maybe let RNG decide. RNG knows best.

 

One week vesting period is required for new members, before they receive benefits. This is to prevent double dipping of Perks.

 

Clan Ops:

Simple Weekly Ops, which award the top 10%, 25%, and 50% of clans. Method of tally varies weekly, from total number of completions, completions per active clan member, average completions of top 5 members of the clan, etc... to ensure fairness for clans of different sizes and abilities. Weekly payouts can be silver, flags, consumables, or other in game goods.

 

Clan Emblems:

Everyone wants this. Ability to designate one pre-made emblem as an official clan emblem, to be placed on clan member vehicles. Use of emblem is free, as long as member is a part of the clan. Ideally, enable the “custom flag” function to create the clan emblem.

Sounds like good ideas to help get social players into clans. PCP would also like to see clan emblems on tanks at some point since we have our Major Meat emblem already.

Awesome idea! :medal:

But I would alter your suggestions a bit, to make it more "involving".
The perks/benefits are good, maybe pump the numbers up a bit, to make it more rewarding (following my altered suggestion):

The clan members have to earn these perks/benefits through monthly ops:
These Ops can be, earn experience, earn spotting damage, etc.
With every succesful completion, you get Clan-XP. The fewer the Clan members, the more Clan-XP you get. But you'll need at least 5 members.

On level 1, the clan has to choose between 2 Perks.
This goes on up to level 5. If you reached that, every perk will be unlocked. This will stay for the rest of the month, but at least 1 full week.

New clan members can participate after the next reset, which will be monthly.

Awesome idea! 

I think this would motivate clans and clanmembers to play more and constantly wot. 

 

I hope WG will read and implement this.
