Just read that one of the greatest scientific minds of recent times has passed. He managed to survive until the age of 76, not bad at all considering the disease he had.

Credit to Violet viper for my sig.

The important thing is not how long you live... It's what you accomplish with your life. While I live, I want to shine. I want to prove that I exist. If I could do something really important... That would definitely carry on into the future.

"He was a great human being. We'll never see the likes of him again..."

A sad loss to the scientific community and the world at large.

*Edit - I can't believe I've only just realised that he has passed on Pi Day...

Quite possibly the greatest scientist of our time. Rest In Peace.

It is a remarkable life he led, as he was diagnosed with ALS at the age of 21 and passed away at 76. He lived with his disease for 55 years when the average life span after being diagnosed is 2 to 4 years!
