I can't stand this tank. I don't know what it is about it, but it has caused me to take the equipment off and park it 4 times now. I have a great crew complete with all the range perks. Even when I use chocolate, I get spotted by numerous tanks that I can't see. I don't have this issue in tier 6 tanks when I am in 8's. Something about this tank's range is not right and for some reason everything sees it. I am beginning to feel that I don't even have to be spotted to be spotted if that makes sense. It's like I just start right out lit up and stay that way. And in no other medium do I have arty shoot at me throughout the game.

Anyone else have issues with this rolling mistake?

The Mutz is a really nice tank to drive and I really like to play it. You mentioned being out spotted. Well, if a light tank can out spot you anytime especially those little bush camping once. Are you using coated optics? If yes, you will outspot most of medium and heavy tanks you meet. What crew skills do you have?

I don’t much care for it either, it’s mediocre and sees tier 10 way too often, it really has nothing going for it.

I do use optics yes. I have alot of skills on that crew, including range boosts like BiA, Recon and Sit Awareness. I don't have any camo perks yet, but I am training them next. I am careful to avoid lights as much as possible as I do with any tank, although we all know inevitably something spots us. The thing is with the Mutz it just seems way different then others I use. The range doesn't work well even with chocolate. There are multiple "invis" tanks firing at me, and not just high concealed TD's. I have better range on tier 6 tanks in 8 matches at times. Even those with average capabilities.

It really seems like I spawn in spotted too lol. I know it sounds crazy but I have arty on me in a flash and I can't shake them( And it's not from lights spotting me. I'm guessing it's from tanks I'm not seeing that I should) I don't have this issue with arty staying on me very often with other mediums.Usually I can shake them.

I still suck in this tank...*sigh*

Can't quite get it to work for me. Time to fire up some YouTube vids on it

I like these types of mediums too which. But this and the STA-2 elude me on how to bring out their best

It takes some time to get used to the Mutz. I do like it so much more than the Indien although the top gun on the Indien is "better". Its the mobility of the tank which I prefer over the tech tree tier 8 tank.

Have a look at my Mutz game minus the first 25 seconds of the game where I played like a I never played tanks before :)

That's a big mistake. Camo skill and Silent Driving are VERY important on Light tanks, Medium tanks and Tank Destroyers....Even on some heavies. Go to WoT info and calculate how much meter the spotting is with and without the skill on the same tanks, you will be very impressed by the numbers. Camo skill are one of the essentials skills together with repair.

I think Silent Driving is useless on Light tanks...Other classes might benefit from it.

The 13. (Tiger) Kompanie, of Panzer Regiment Großdeutschland, reported on the performance of the 88 mm KwK 36 L/56, when their Tigers engaged the T-34: "First round hits were usually achieved at ranges between 800 to 1,000 meters. At these ranges, the Panzer Granate (they are referring to the PzGr. 39 APCBC ammunition) absolutely penetrated through the frontal armor, and usually still destroyed the engine at the rear of the T-34 tank. In 80 percent of the cases, shots from the same range hitting the side of the hull toward the rear of the tank resulted in the fuel tanks exploding. Even at ranges of 1,500 meters and longer, during favorable weather, it is possible to succeed in penetrating the T-34 with minimal expenditure of ammunition" (JENTZ, Thomas L.; Germany's TIGER Tanks - Tiger I and II: Combat Tactics; op. cit.).

So it's a sniper, right? I don't have one, but I'm about to unlock Indian Pz...Do they share the same gun?

That's true, because light tanks keep their camo on the move. However this is a T49 with vehicle camo, Camo skill, BIA, Vents and Coated Optics, the other one got all the same only camo skill excluded.

Below an E25 with Silent Driving and one without.

Would not call it a sniper as the dispersion is quite bad. Indien does have better DPM and better dispersion but ... the gun is only a part of the story. If I should comepare the Mutz and the Indien, Mutz is the better tank mainly due to mobility. It feels like a light tank in comparison to the Indien which I find really sluggish and the better gun does not give you enough advantages over the increased mobility of the Mutz

I was stupid enough to get one of these. It is fodder for tier 9, let alone tier ten.  Needs a preferential matchmaking change at the very least. I fell in to the trap of. thinking it was OK after the first few games, but as Fishmountain says it sees tier ten for too often.

Responding to necro bait.

There's your issue, OP. Concealment skill increases your camo value by 180%, recon+SitAw increases view range by 105%.

Concealment >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> SitAw > Recon

Silent driving would help for when you get lit just hold your fire and fall back a few meters. Problem with silent driving is it’s useless on light tanks and most heavy tanks so it’s really just for mediums/tds/arty I really want a mutz I’ve never seen it for sale except maybe once in a retarded $400 bundle.

I sold this tank after buying the bundle that included the KR and Skorp G.

I don't know why I sold it.

I love the Indien Panzer and the two tanks seem similar?

I should get it back and see.

After all, it can't be as bad as the T-34-3, Legion, T95E2, Patton KR, et cetera.

Bring back the old chaffee!

This and the STA-2 are two of my favorite Premium Tier VIII medium tanks. I like their 10deg of depression and the gun penetration. They're also fairly agile and they can take hits most of the time without associated equipment or crew casualties (unlike, let's say, the CDC). They're very nice support tanks and the ones I'd pick if I expected to end up fighting tier X in a tier VIII Premium.

 I'll take the 4202 all day into tier 10, can't make the Mutz work at tier 9.

Mutz is a good premium tank with nice mobility and gun depression. It’s is easier to do well in the Mutz than in the Indien
