As requested by another user:► What is the deal with the lack of discussion about competitive modes?  From WG directly, there is very little response, and recent attempts to use the Xbox Arena system have been a failure, largely on part to WOT not being optimized to work with the feature (since there are other games that use it with no major issues).  Are there any plans for clan wars like modes on console that are built into the game itself?  If not, is it because WG Console has no interest in pursuing a competitive scene because they think it would not thrive with its active population?  Or perhaps they are not allowed to have a real competitive mode due to Microsoft and Sony agreements/limitations (or anything else to do with them).  And as answered earlier during the live stream; training rooms will remain as are, even though it appears many have requested for it to be free as it is on PC, due to groups and clans wanting to be able to utilize training rooms for practice, without losing millions of silver in a single session.

Console comp has no future. WG has a few months at best to come out with some kind of skirmish mode or else their game will die. I’m already saving for a PC, something I should have done long ago

It's kind of amazing how spectacularly the competitive scene for world of tanks console blew up in their face.
It could have worked if they took the time and gave a [edited]about that and would have helped the game positively in many ways.

Competitive modes with Wot is fun and majorly addicting.  I'm finally taking a break (from PC) after 3 years of it near non stop.  The people on console who have been asking for comp would ooze at how engaging strongholds is.

It is very small portion of players who actually care about competitive modes. Like WG have said most console players tend to play very irregularly (bouncing between various games) and therefore are not drawn to competitive gaming. I play 4 games on console atm and top of that casually WOT PC and world of warplanes. For me competitive modes are waste of time.

Would you rather put their effort into making more War Stories?

Most of the nay sayers towards comp on here would be surprised to see just how many players and clans are part of the community run competitive scene through discord.  I'm amazed console is allowed to even pursue developing War Stories.  Its quality is extremely poor, its not very engaging and comes off as garbage filler, and it appears to be the majority of spent development time.  Which is a real shame.

Competition is the reason why many games thrive for so long, like LoL, and WoT PC for example. People put so much money in the game to be competitive.

I actively stay on this game, but it's slowly losing me and a lot of other competitive players to other games.

This is casual game compared to PC and probably always will be when looking at average players. War stories is very casual content

you mean PC games that stay around for so long that don't have the turn over of Console? That can continue to be updated through patches that can require someone to update components of a machine - something a console can't do?

Our average players are focus group for our development. PC is developing more towards competitive and better player enjoyment.

Do you require a high end system to play league of legends or CS:GO? Lol no, I can play those games on my old potato PC with no problems.

do need a better graphics card then a standard run of the mill laptop will have.  Gaming pcs are much more limited then consoles

can't say i ever tried to play LoL - not my kind of game,  but playing CS:GO won't work on my laptop from 2016- mid tier asus..
