I always thought Sixth Sense was instant, as well.  But on the WoT wiki (Xbox) it's saying the light bulb turns on after three seconds.

http://wiki.wargamin...t/en/Crew_(XBOX)

Dont know if whoever did the article just copy and pasted the description from the PC side or what (it's pretty much verbatim from the PC description).  It also says it turns off after while, whether you're detected or not, and I'm fairly certain that isn't true anymore.  It's never felt like a three second delay to me, when being spotted.

Edit: Well, here's some verification it's instant from way back in 2014 and some from the current Game Guides themselves.  "Current" being relative, as WG really needs to update that page with some of the new skills and perks that have been added in the past year.

A lot of the console wiki is inaccurate, they probably did just copy and paste from the pc wiki.

As for sixth sense, it's instant on console. !Detected used to have a delay before they swapped it for !targeted.

Console has never had a wiki. Just a player copy/pasting PC info into it.

It is Basically Instant the "wiki" is not accurate or maintained by WG, i've made an entire post for both the targeted/detected and Sixth Sense relationships both old and current here with video

Move along, people.

Nothing to see here.

Let me understand, are you implying that it was not a genuine mistake from the player who posted the issue originally?

why would someone do that? just to start a topic? and to get what out of it? the satisfaction of sending everyone scratching their heads?

He claimed he had Sixth Sense trained, Max said he doesn’t.  Nothing to see here.

Additionally, he talked about one crew / tank combo but posted a vid containing something completely different.

more specifically he changed his story about the crew and tank combo, only after being called out on it, and even then he still claimed to have 6th sense fully trained on said crew  (including in the video itself) only to be called out again by Max as not actually having it trained on said crew. Mistake or not seems fishy

Sixth sense, targeted, detected... either way, someone is gonna start shooting at you. How many alerts are needed that you are about to start taking hits?

Pretentious Latin phrase.

That is very true, there was about 6 seconds from targeted and the first shot incoming. Normally enough time to get out of dodge but I dunno about those Swedish TDs. How long does it take to get out of siege mode?

They are all the same, but different at the same time; each one commands a different level of reactivity.

The way I understand Sixth Sense, is that it gives you the possibility to remain undetected if you take it into account right when the warning chimes in... or you may proceed and get detected, so the enemy becomes aware of your presence and location, including SPG's if any.

You may still be at ease with it, and keep chugging away...

And once you are targeted, you know that a gun has you in its cross-hair...

If you want to truly measure it from the bandit' side, select the T28E with F 30, it has a 3.20 seconds aiming time. I usually start aiming outside of the target, and I move the cross hair at the last second. Else, the bandit has moved a long time before I can shoot it.

If 6th sense goes off, it means you are already detected and visible to the enemy.

Ha! I was wrong all along, again then?! I had it that SS goes off BEFORE you actually appear on the map to your enemies.

Hello, I took a look at the video and did an investigation. You’ll need to train your crew in the Sixth Sense skill before you will be alerted that you’ve been spotted. Until then, you’ll only receive the standard ‘Targeted’ alert. :honoring:
