I'm looking for a tier 8 American crew trainer for my 10-skill Pershing crew and noticed that this tank was on sale in the premium tech tree. I also noticed that it gets pref. MM - I'm not really keen on the classic SuperPershing because of the mobility.

 

What do you think? Looks like it's only 7500 gold.

173 pen wouldn't be too bad if the tank is a flanker with good mobility.

It’s not too bad of a tank, but nothing special nowadays. It was a better tank back in the day.

 

I don’t have the 59 Patton, but assume it would have to play just like the T95E2 does.

Well, looking on tank compare site (which has the AP pen at 181 on PC???), it has a lot going for it over the SP if you like mobility.  Turret traverse is twice as fast to go with it, so you can CoD in it.

Just wait for another chance to earn it for free . It's a mediocre premium tank with pref mm .

It's very mediocre and you have to use premium ammo quite often.

You already have the STA-2 so I can't fathom why you'd want the T95E2.

Guessing because the OP is looking for a tier VIII American crew trainer, but what do I know?

If you have the cash and opportunity, the T25 Vengeance is a crew trainer on steroids.

I would not say it is a great tank but I am not a great player but I have some good games in it.

TBH, for like 2k or so more gold just buy the T26E5 when it’s available. It’s got similar mobility to the T95E2 and plays like a cross between the Pershing/T32. It’s pretty fun to play and a better tank.

T95E2 is way faster.

 

But T26E5 is best Tier 8 Heavy premium right now by far.

If you really want a US crew trainer tank, you had better purchase "Vengeance T25" which has 15% XP bonus, 50% Crew XP bonus  and 50% silver bonus, although it meet up to tier10.

The T95e's prem ammo is worse than the SP's lol.

 

I kinda like the look of the thing and would perhaps consider it if it had better pen, but charging real money for 'silvermakers' that require huge amounts of prem ammo frankly seems a bit dumb and self defeating.

Yeah I must be a weirdo, as I don't mind it. Well, I KNOW I'm a weirdo, for many reasons. This might be just one. 

 

I dont love the thing, but it works for me, most situations. Glad I didn't pay for it, however. Won it during one of those points ops awhile ago.  As others have stated, there are better options out there if you are training crews.

No, the tank is terrible. Save your money.

Gun is unreliable. Armour is unreliable. Turret is epic, but has a burger bun of doom on its roof. Mobility not as good as it needs to be as a medium. Absolutely outclassed by the Motherland.

Chieftain/T95 is the equivalent with very similar issues.

Would be decent hull down if not for that tumour.
