Or at least a change of spawning point for the Northern Team. Otherwise, the Northern Team, unless they are playing full potatoes, will win since their spawn is a LOT closer to the hill and it makes it a lot easier for the fastest tanks on their team to take it. Its a literal direct path to the hill while the southern spawn has to deal with hills and other obstacles to get there, thus slowing everyone down.

Just realized this? Just saying but still. North spawn needs a little bigger climb IMO and the rocks in the middle need to go. Can't get down without a high risk of dying or serious damage which makes no sense

Will WG ever have WoT offline like they promised?

Maybe the best thing for Mines map would be to scale it up and make it bigger... at least 1000x1000m. And actually this applies to all other small maps like: Ensk, Widepark, Komarin, Tundra (I think this one is out of the rotation lately) etc. Also Province could be good map for the higher tiers scaled up.

I realize that I'm pretty stupid sometimes. Maybe this is one of those times. But I think getting to the hill second is an advantage. I know I know but hear me out. Usually the race to the top is close enough that the "winner" is still driving up the hill to cover when the loser arrives directly on his six o'clock. As a light that's where I want to be since the other is shooting backwards at whatever armor I have and I'm firing at his rear-end hiney. As long as I'm there before the red gets to the rock island and can turn around I feel like I'm in the stronger position. No?

If you can get a couple tanks up the hill sure you may take a hit getting up but once up you can lock any enemy that wants to contest the hill in a crossfire.

Mines is won at least 75% of the time by the team that secures the hill first.

Giving the hill a second entrance on the North East corner would be a good start.

this map has been a problem ever since the game launched. They still play it at tier 10 when we all know it should be maxed out at 5 at the most, and the north end has a huge advantage. Worst map design in the game in my opinion. Wargaming knows this too and they refuse to fix it, dont know what their problem is. But I havnt bought any prem tanks in over a year and a half simply because wargaming seems to be refusing customer and playerbase feedback on that map among many others. And thats just the map problems... theres so many more:S

what they need to do for mines is put more ways to get up onto the hill, then both teams have a chance then a big problem is fixed.

Is it just me or is Mines "Rain" the only Mines that anybody is seeing. I have been noticing this for the past couple of weeks anyways, maybe longer.

Two good ideas here. Make the map larger and add another hill entrance/exit.

Just move the center hill a little closer to the South spawn, and make it so that it no longer is played above tier VIII, and it's fine.

But yeah, North spawn has always had an advantage getting on top of the hill first. The only times I have ever beat the North team to the center hill with a light  or a Cromwell was when they didn't have any go there.

Or they will move the Encounter base again like they did before.
I'm just saying.....

My team seems to lose whichever spawn point we’re on. Lol.

I think a larger mines with another entrance to the center hill would make the map more interesting for higher tiers. I wish all maps that tier 5 and up were large.

agreed. I just meant arriving to the place first isn't the advantage.  it's winning the place. And arriving in behind the first light often is better.

The only thing Mines needs is to be removed from the rotation for anything over Tier 6, it's fun in Tier X but it practically requires a heavy or a well armored medium to do well as the short distances turn it into a slug fest as a few lights in the right places can spot the entirety of the map for either team. This usually means that those lights get smoked, the arty that has one place to hide is dead and any TD's get focused on by something else before its just heavies vs. heavies.

Now that the 50Gb limit has been lifted they can make a larger version of Mines for higher tier play and make the classic version tier restricted to lower tiers.

I hope to one day be wealthy enough to be considered eccentric rather than just plain nuts.
