I'm just going for all the Churchills, Bogatyrs and KV-1s, that are effectively nerfed by MM pitting all of them against each other in every game. Church 3 has been a disapointment lately, but the Pz IV/V keeps me smiling :) It's hard work to fire for effect in tier VII games, but still possible. Not OP, just a tier V premium heavy equalizer.

It's definitely OP I average more in the 5/4 than even the O/I experimental, a tank with 3x the alpha damage and similar mobility a tank that can two shot any tier 5 excluding the 5/4. I spend most of my time in the 5/4 on the front line beating up heavys just through plain artard HP trade.

It's broke.

It ruins gameplay at all tiers because the noobs who yolo around like idiots in the pz 5/4 think that's a technique that works in other tanks too.

Yes, and I own one.

It most definitely is OP, especially with a 7+ skill crew.

No other tank has that much survivability even when bottom-tier.

It's basically a German TOG that shed its fupa.

It is OP allright. People compare it rightfully to heavies and that is how I look at it.

  1.  Yes, but only in Wolf Packs (Platoons)
  2.  No, Unless in Wolf Packs

These two choices are basically the same answer

It's why the tank is top damage and most played at tier 5 in the last 30 days, but "only" wins 54 percent.  They get a bunch of damage but die early, leaving their team short handed.

I don't mind seeing them on red but they drag green team down. Green team already has all the odds stacked against it.

It actually sounds pretty fun to yolo around ramming people and not caring about winning.

I think you could do well in the t-34-88. It was one of my first mediums back in the day and I did okay. It's fairly forgiving because the gun does a lot of damage, just don't depend on the armor.

Overpowered, yet I don't think it ruins gameplay.  One of my earliest memories of this game was seeing one of these beasts run over my team like a raging bull, it was a beautiful sight and helped to get me hooked on the game.

I'm probably a weirdo for seeing it like that.  But, thats how I see it.

Try the poor man‘s version with lower dpm but better pen, the VK 30.01 P. If you like it, you‘ll like the 34-88.

Unless you really badly want a dual crew trainer get the T-34-85m.

"Do you think the Panzer V/IV ruins game play at low/ mid tiers?   ...No, Even when not in Wolf Packs"

What does that mean?

btw   I have twice as many games in my IV H and have always done better in it, even after they buffed the gun accuracy of the V/IV.

I recently 3 marked the Chaffee, little leopard, and chi by kai. Basically spent a lot of time at tier 5 and see 5/4s on the enemy team was like hitting the lottery jackpot because of the all the HP and you could pen them or pen & track them easily.  It was the Cap KV1 and Churchill’s that could drive straight in and machine gun other tanks to death which caused the most trouble. About as easy mode as it gets

Usually when Wolfpacked they are bottom tier.

I went head-on into one with my Awfulpanther...we both survived and I would have eventually got him if he didn't have two buddies

Pretty much double the frontal armour, higher DPM, better overall gun handling, better penetration.
