Yes, it's the Benny Hill Show...

A few things:

- it may look easy but it's not.

- the gods take care of drunks and fools.

- WOT is a nuanced game and there are no binary rules. Going to the valley is dependent on a number of things: the tank one is driving, position in tier, is arty in the game, what is the rest of the team doing.

- a HUGE thanks to the platoon of O-Ho's and the mle.49 who could have easily bullied me out of my lane or gotten behind me preventing my back-and-forth.

- apologies for the video quality.

- I am one part unicum, two parts potato :P

First person full vid of above encounter...

My two biggest threats in the enemy lineup were the HWK12 and the KV-4. The little guy was a wild card and at any time could have come out expectantly and put a big hole in my side. As for the KV, with the offensive game I was playing I had to time my shots on the T29 behind him meticulously waiting till he was reloading as it required moving into deep water for a few seconds.

I think the upcoming buff will really benefit aggressive 4202 players and while many may get better results playing 2nd line farming damage in this tank, they may not notice that much of a change from the current version. Limits have to be pushed to squeeze out this tanks alternate personality. I still burn a lot, two days ago I was up to 92.5% damage for that 3rd MOE finally thinking it might happen after five thousand games in the old girl. Today I'm back at 89%. That's the way my cookie crumbles.

My crew goes in with a full bladder of tea. If anything catches on fire they just start pissing. I've only tried it in game so far but maybe it'll work on the forumz. :teethhappy:

The tea bladder system is still in testing for forum use.  I am sorry you will have to close the thread as the flame risk is too high.  As you know Lakeville Valley is a protected site due to the amount of endangered noob seals that call it home.

OP was obviously on the Red team so it was OK to go valley .

It was such a lucky game because there were no Arty. :teethhappy:

EDIT : Congrats for your result anyway. No offence but hill clime at this map is not a main route.

There's lots of  luck, those Japanese Santa Clause tanks and the French heavy not getting in the way, the HWK12  not coming out , no arty.

Luck plays a part in all battles,  It doesn't take away from the quality of the game or efforts of the OP with getting the results or the post results contribution of providing video footage and commentary.

Since, this thread is riddled with old TV show references, I personally love it when a plan comes together and it did on this occasion for the OP and it's sweet to see battles where the stars just seem to align.

Kudos to the OP too for identifying that the green platoon,  didn't barge their way in and ruin the game. Not all players are pratts, evidence is right there.

Thanks for the congrats. Not sure where you mean by hill clime.

As top tier with one arty I might still have gone valley side, two arties or more I would probably have set up on goat path and farmed some damage from tanks heading to town on opposite side. As bottom tier, arty or not, I would have avoided the valley altogether.

Edit: sorry I misread your original post - made some edits. Yeah I was definitely lucky that there was no arty on the other side. That's usually jackpot city for one with good shell arc. I have been one-shotted before in that spot... more than once.

GG OP - I wanted the 4202 real bad and after a while, dropped the gold for it. It's now a firm favourite of mine.

Thanks dude. Glad she's working out for you. By buying the tank you spared yourself the long spell at 35kph. I slogged through thousands of games in the slow version. You can't imagine the pain of of it, getting to the top of lighthouse on Cliff was a nightmare but had some absolutely amazing games from that vantage point once up there. Who the fark drives a 35kph 4202p to the lighthouse? This idiot. :teethhappy:

I will admit I was peeved when the change was made - I was a couple of 1000xp away from unlocking it.  Then the Black tank version was in a stupid expensive bundle - fast forward to now.

Wait was certainly worth it.

Its a cracking tank,
