i was thinking about playing it again but want to know if anyone is still playing it and what they think about the tank VS the current tanks (King Dragon, Defender 252U ETC.).

is it effective at all on the current super hilly maps?

is the armor bouncing anything?

Thank you for any feedback :D

this is a question for other people who own The Nameless.

I have to vote have a blast for the last question because all the remaining answers were negativily biased

Would have preferred a happy/neutral answer

The tank is still quite fun to play, though I feel like the depression nerf it had on the sides, and the fact that our headlights nerf our frontal depression even more unlike PC hurts it. I feel like it could use a depression buff, what with seeing how we have tanks like the 252u, T26E5, and AMX M4 49 hat have armor that’s just as good or better and have much better gun depression.

Funny you should ask. Haven't seen one for ages, and then I killed one last night.

If we don't understand our tactics, how could the enemy hope to?

I hate The Useless because of its gun depression and basically don’t play it at all. The worst money spending in the whole game. I would sell it in heartbeat if I could get my money/gold back.
Don't rush me, I'm waiting for the last moment!

Overall it's not doing that much better or worse then average for me, cept for those last two games lol.

I have around 120 tanks in my garage, so it's pretty hard to pay more attention to one tank than another, so I haven't played nameless for a while. But i managed to play it this morning right before going to work, and it feels pretty good, although gun depression is still awful. Consider that, plus they make more f-up maps, like there was an atomic blast, and we have less fun on Nameless each time new map added.

I still play my Nameless and Edelweiss, some of my favorite tanks to play in fact. I think its still pretty good compared to the other tier XIII prems like the t26e5 and obj 252u but it could use a little love with the gun depression as stated above. I dont see too many either which is most likely due to the “anime” and “fantasy” tank stigma the valkyria tanks had.

The lack of gun depression ruins it for me, you have to expose too much of the tank to get a clear shot at anything. The Edelweiss on the other hand is one of my favorite tanks

to this day. My very first game in the tank actually was my best. 6k damage 18k exp. yeah 1 and a 8 thousand [edited]. I have yet to recreate such game. (I was facing 3 stock t29s yeah I killed all of them)

it's lack of gun depression means is completely useless facing anything that gets to close

Easy fix

Move the turret forward like 6 inches
It will actually give the gun room to aim down....

Of the many that were sold, you see very few on the battlefield anymore because its crippling characteristics.  It really needs at least a tiny bit of gun depression given to it.  I think it currently has 0 degrees or something like that for this very tall tank, which is not acceptable by today's standards where you need to shoot down on lower plates.  There's very limited places on corridors, valleys, hills, etc that allow you to protect yourself and get your gun into play AT THE SAME TIME.  Sometimes things go right, but that's not that often.

The gun depression is easily its biggest flaw. One of the biggest disappointing purchases I ever made.

The Nameless and Edelweiss are actually good Silver makers, and I like them because they're weird.

I recall the drama over these like what,  a year and a half ago , so much salt.....and now you never see them , and there are Merc tanks that are far more non-historical than these cartoon tanks. Taste the irony, I see some of the same user names that threatened to boycott this game over "anime nonce tanks" , the same names , rolling in Absolutions and Big Tops, etc.  Love the Hypocrisy.

The problem with this is that it would make the tank borderline OP. Good armor at tier 8, medium tank gun handling, and insane mobility for a tank carrying that much armor.

To keep it balanced you would have to nerf something in return for giving it the gun depression. In my opinion it should be the mobility, 50kph on a tank this large and well armored is ridiculous and totally necessary. As someone who likes the nameless, I'd gladly give up 10-15kph in return for more gun depression. 7-8 degrees of gun depression + 35-40kph  combined with it's other characteristics would give it a play style similar to the t110e5 at tier eight, which makes it an excellent rival for the Defender which is like an is7 at tier 8.

But the issue is that this isn't an actual nation's tank, so wargaming doesn't feel pressured to buff it despite all the people who are disappointing with it and regret spending money on it. But knowing WG they will probably nerf the wrong thing in exchange for the gun depression, like give it an absolute garbage gun. So you now have a gun you can put easily on the target but it's crap and can't hit the broadside of a barn.

I just pulled mine back out, short on funds and it does make good cash.It has been said by all that it's main and almost crippling flaw is that GD gun depression.I still do not regret buying that package really like both it and the Edelweiss.

I just do not get this POS.

I've tried playing it every way I can think of. No consistency of gameplay at all. Heaven forbid you drive over a twig and have to shoot downward at all, because it isnt gonna happen. Shells at distance only work on tier 7 and below (unless your lucky). Only thing going for it is speed. But what's the point of getting somewhere in a hurry if you cant get effective fire downrange anyway. The armor trolls hard.

One of the few tanks where I have buyers remorse.
