With many tanks being power creeped lately by certain amazing high tier premiums, I am personally worried to take my Super P out for a drive for the first time in over a year, is this tank still viable?
Just a German/Chinese tank fanatic who uses the 112, 110, Dicker Max, Leopard 1, Jagdpanzer E-100 and Super Pershing.

it is bad  in close quarter fights because of all the easy to hit weak spots, it  plays greatly at mid range (200m), it is great against anyone who does not know it's many many weak spots.

so i would say do not brawl in it and instead, try to get the enemy's attention wile being at mid range. you can be a GREAT mid range damage sponge (weak spots are very hard to hit at this range).

If you have had it since it first came out, you will notice a difference. I hadn't used mine in a while. and it seemed slower and the gun wasn't as good as I remembered. Still had fun training up a high level crew for a bit. Good luck.

The pen will get a buff in Late Summer Balance Pass, my guess is around 190 pen.

Try and keep it mid range.  Close range do everything in your power to make targeting the weak spots difficult.  I use it more as a trainer than a silver earner.  It does need a pen buff.  A couple weeks ago I had a VK 36.01 H backing straight away from me.  Smacked the lfp dead center at the 12 o’clock position and it failed to pen.  The next shot damaged the ammo rack and the following popped the turret.  Running octane which gets me into the fight.

The Super Pershing is still a great tank, APCR pen is simple insane plus most of the players do not know where to shoot it. AP pen buff would be pleasant but is not necessary.

It has obvious weak spots at close range, bad turret traverse, and bad hull traverse, avoid any close fight if possible.

Another thing that could be done to make it a little more "involve" is to equip binoculars, this way you can be a good steady spotter with a good armor, you'll have a lot of support damage and spotting XP.

Its is still viable if you play War Thunder

I like how on there the front sits a bit lower because of the weight of the armor

It's still viable, just you will probably need to load a bit of premium to do damage.  170mm is adequate for tier 7 targets but most things tier 8 you'll struggle with, same with tier 9.

Armor is still effective imo, you just got to rock back and forth between reloads to prevent zeroing on the weakspots...or simply keep moving forward and absorb damage so your team can advance.

Same as always. Keep your gun pointed up, While shaking your turret no. Keep on rockin back and forth,  Dont skimp on the gold, Run your octane. Its a true trainer, That will still make silver. Still loves slowdancing with heavies, Shooting down on their soft turrets.
