I forget the current policy, would someone be kind enough to remind me? Let's say for simplicity's sake there is a store bundle with three tanks in it, costing 6000 gold.  For ease of conversation let's say tank A is 3000 gold, tank B is 2000 gold, and tank C is 1000 gold (let's ignore discounts.) If I already have tanks A and B, am I charged 6,000 gold and refunded 5000 converted to Silver? Or am I charged 6,000 gold and refunded 5,000 gold, ending up with only 1000 gold deducted?

So is does it cost 6000 gold with silver returned, or 1000 gold?

Thanks for answering my noob question.

In a multi-tank bundle, you are refunded for the tanks you already own in Gold. (adjusting for discount percentage)So you would be charged 6,000 Gold and refunded 5,000.

In a single-tank deal, if you already own the tank you get the value in Silver. So trying to pick up the add-ons at a reduced price is generally a bad idea if there is only one tank.

the later. it's a little more complicated than that, though. throw in factors of garage spots, premium ammo, etc. you get tank "C" at the discounted price listed for the entire bundle, or really close to it. also, your gold back(credit) for tanks "A" & "B" are based on what you paid for them, then discounted by bundle listed discount. rule of thumb i use is, if the bundle is in the 35-50% off & none of the previous owned tanks were really old premiums(that you got for a lot lower price than what tankopedia lists them at now) you're getting a good deal, plus a couple garage spots & any ace ops that you never got on pre-owned tanks. if bundle is in 20-25% range, pass & wait for a higher discounted bundles in the future. :)

Thank you both for your thorough explanations.  I knew it was going to more complicated then the very simple example, but a few gold either way wasn't going to break me.  Thanks!

Here is everything about purchasing from the web store.

Most of it applies to both

also, your gold back(credit) for tanks "A" & "B" are based on what you paid for them, then discounted by bundle listed discount.

I'm not sure if you just said this in a funny way or are confused based on the rest of your post.

So to be clear... you will get the cost of the tank(s) in gold based on the tankapedia price at time of bundle purchase reduced by the discount back along with the some small change for the refunded premium ammo etc.

You will not be refunded for the garage or anything else in the bundle.

There is no reference to the price you originally paid for said tank prior to the bundle.

You can easily estimate your gold return and the log records now shows exactly how much you paid and how much you got back.

A similar example and to keep it simple and only talk about tanks and garages so it would be your 6000 (3k ,2k,1k) example + (3 garages or 900) 6900

so you pay 6900 and you will get Tank C, 3 garages (1 used by Tank C) and 5k back.

Assuming the bundle is on discount at 20% (6900*.8) 5520

you will pay 5520 and you will get Tank C,  garages (1 used by Tank C)  and (5k*.8) ~4K back.

So just sum up the current prices listed of the tanks in the bundle you already own on tankapedia then apply the discount multiplier for a good estimate. Like I said you get a little more due to the refund for premium ammo. I don't believe you can ever be exact since they don't tell you what premium ammo you will be buying.

Honestly ... they should just do and show these calculations for you but its part of the playing dumb about smart bundles...

When a person resorts to attacking the other person rather than focusing on the issue (aka argumentum ad hominem), it becomes pretty clear they have nothing else to contribute and are wrong.
