Tier 8 Tank Giveaway! The 7th Cavalry Tier 7 2v2 Encounter Tournament!

Tournament Start Date: 7/21/18 6:00 P.M. CST

Prizes will be:

1st Place: Tier 8 Tank and 30 Days of Premium Time for each of the First Place Finishers.
Ghost of Gera  --  SKORPION G and 30 Days of Premium Time.

Patriarh177  --  OBJ. 252U and 30 Days of Premium Time.

2nd Place: Tier 6 Tank and 20 Days of Premium Time for each of the Second Place Finishers.

I have read your post through but it doesn't say anything about how it will be structured, how the tiers will be matched up or how many rounds there will/should be.

 

Could you please elaborate?

The Tournament will be ran through the Tournament Section of The 7th Cavalry Club Page. These Tournaments have maps that are randomly selected.

Any tier 5,6, or 7 tank can be used. Most people will select tier 7 tanks, as they usually have more hit points and larger guns than tier 5's and 6's.

How many rounds will be played will be determined by how many teams enter the tournament.

Last time I played in an event using the Xbox arena system, my team made it to the finals but we never received any invite for the match. Hopefully they have smoothed things out a bit.

The Tournament is Single Elimination. 

One loss and your out.

Tournament Access Instructions:

Purpose: The WOT Tournament feature is hard to use. These instructions are to help newer players ensure that when the tournament starts, they can get in. I'm putting this here because this is what has worked for me. Others may have different experiences. I would suggest entering some "Test" tournaments before you try this on a "Real" tournament.

 

1. In the Multiplayer Garage, use the Filter to eliminate all tanks except the ones eligible (or preferably the one you want use). Having extra tanks selected has caused issues in the past.

2. Leave Multiplayer, go to the Game Mode page, and select Tournament.

3. Find the tournament which you are trying to access by selecting Community Tournaments, finding the specific tournament you want, and select it.

4. This is the tournament page and it will have all the basic information about the tournament (tiers, what time it starts, etc) including a countdown clock. There will be a Play button, but it will likely be "greyed out."

5. When the clock hits 0:00, the Play button will become active and you have

typically 4-5 mins to enter the Tournament lobby. When the clock hits 0:00, you will also receive a message via XBOX that says the tournament is starting. You can use that link to go directly into the Lobby.

6. In the Lobby, you'll see what map you'll be fighting on and make your final tank selection (this is where problems happen if you didn't do step 1).

7. Once you make that selection, you wait for the timer to go to 0:00 and the match starts. Each round takes about 20:00, so if you win early, you'll have to wait for a bit.

 

BE PATIENT! The system works SLOWLY, so if the system has to "think" for a few seconds, LET IT. If you get stuck, simply get out of where you are and start again (I'd suggest going all the way back to the Game Mode page).

I'm currently trying to load into my match, been 10 minutes since the first invite, and all we get is the "updating" popup with the sherman's tracks turning then it stops loading and dumps us on the main menu. We've talked to 4 other teams that have this same issue. Is this a known bug? Are we dq'd? Will it be resolved?

Well my team was eliminated in the only way I believed was going to happen. It was fun only playing one match and then having 8 teams get eliminated for not being able to load in. Next time just have teams host team training lobbies like every other tournament does. It seems that it didn’t matter how you played. It was a matter of did the game even give you a chance to win. I would have figured that given the prizes, the tournament would have been handled in a more professional and accurate manner.

We had 72 Teams that entered the Tournament! 

About 8-10 teams that entered had problems logging in or got kicked after entering.

The good news is that 60 or so teams participated with no problems. 

The Arena tournament system is still having problems, but hopefully they will get the bugs worked out.

Even though I had several bad complaints about the tournament being buggy, I had way more positive remarks about us promoting the tournament.

Many of them are asking for a Monthly tournament similar to what wargaming initially started! I told them at this point wargaming had agreed to a tournament every other month.
