Out of curiosity I checked the minimum XP needed to earn a tier 10 Tech Tree tank.  It's the M48 Patton with 160,000.  For the Tusk you can buy it after 57,600xp.  So, you are doing about 1/3rd of the normal Tier 10 grind before paying 3x the Gold of the most expensive premium tank. (Liberte = 15,080)

If you want to be one of the 47 Ronin check out our recruitment post and then send a message to Prof935 (xbox) or dimka935 (ps4).

if you pay for it, the Tusk is at $194.50(buying the required gold packages)

Wow that is expensive lol a bit more than the sea servers t10 tanks on pc, but the $200 is cheap should be $1000

And considering the Patton still needs to be grinded for the final package.......   then it is even just about a quarter?

It’s not for sale. It won’t be for sale. The Tusk will be earnable only. That is confirmed from the mouth of Jeff Gregg on today’s live stream.

Any other crisis you’d like to manufacture without any facts?

it is for sale because you can skip stages to get it so technically your buying a tier 10

You still need to earn the tanks to qualify to pass the 1st few stages.

Unlike what people were worried about, which were NEW or rookie PLAYERS buying Tier X tanks

It's pretty fair when you account for the value of the time saved for not grinding. I think most people forget about the value of time when looking at the prices. Players always have the option to earn the tanks for Free aswell!

ya in the alotted time you give us to do so, makes it literaly i wold have to be a junkie loser sitting in a basement, playing 16 hour days under moms thumb.

Damn the drama is strong on this thread!

It amuses me how you guys care so much if someone that aready has tier 9 and 10 tanks can buyout the final stages, in a game that sells super strong premiums.

Who cares, WOT is not a competitive game, maybe in the forums! Yes, here the struggle is real!

Gotta catch them all! ^^

not about new players...its about claiming it isn't for sale...then it magically is for sale...for an absurd amount of gold...if its gonna be for sale like a tt tank then it should be able to be free xp'd...not to mention the loss of the cool factor for a tank which could have been a unique prize for only those who put in the time and effort to actually earn the thing...

Kinda sorta, for example I could technically play a td, medium, arty, heavy, or chinese and russian lights to get the free EXP needed for a tier 9 french or american light. Run a few games to hit stage 5 and buyout the remainder of the contract. While it doesnt make sense doing it that way its possible and could be done with minimal effort.

Don't get mad at WG that people shell cash out to skip a tank, get mad at that player that has that much disposable income for a piece tier 10.

If I only had a Baneblade....

Not for a new player no. A new player isn't grinding out to tier 9 in any reasonable amount of time

While I agree the primary concern was specifically new players buying tier 10s not the tank itself being purchasable. That was always the questions being asked about it and it was always their reason for being hesitant about tier 10 premiums. I'm also guessing the marketing team required some level of monetization and this could have been a compromise from the dev team

I only have time to get mad a certain number of people.  Plus, Wargaming is the actual causation of this problem.  But for Wargaming allowing contracts to be bought out, this would not happen.

It boggles my mind that people think this is an issue.  The number of new players coming in is so small that the number buying tier X would be unnoticeable.  It's a compete non issue.

Oh crap , 6 brand new players a month might buy a tier X. Oh the huge manatee! They'll make tier X unplayable, not the hundreds of tomato players with 4 year stickers on their tanks.

This was a decent argument in 2015.  It's a moot point in 2018.

I think the bigger issue is how much is this new model going to replace the old model.  Traditional Tech tree lines are close to a year behind PC.  They skipped two server updates and it has taken them almost a year to do the 9.20.1 update.  How many more resources are they going to waste making high profit garbage tanks rather than simply finishing the great content PC has already created for them?
