Hello all, 

 

i just started my first light tank tech tree with the Chinese 59-16. I am having an absolute blast so far but would like some tips for the Chinese line as I'm not super experienced in light tanks. I'd love any advice in how they should be played and equipment to use or perks to research. I currently enjoy bombing it around in the 59-16 and harassing enemies and making use of its nice 76mm. I'm usually an aggressive player hence the play style but would like feedback on if that's the "best" play style for the Chinese light tanks.

Equipment: Coated Optics, Vert stabs, Rammer (or Vents, if you use some rapid fire gun). Skills in order: Sixth Sense, Camo, BIA, Snapshot, Situational Awareness, Recon, Repairs, Track Mechanic, Smooth Ride, Firefighting.

Does the 59-16 still have the autoloader? Yes, that was fun, even though it is a pretty weak gun.

 

The next two tanks, WZ-131 and WZ-132 are among the funnest scouts in the game. I bought the Type 62 Dragon (very close to the WZ-131) and kept the WZ-132 (for CWs and fun) and love them both. Start training new crews, you may want to keep one of them.

 

I run both with optics, stabilizer and vents. A rammer is an obvious alternative, but I prefer the universality of the vents. The WZ-132's crew has Sixth Sense, Brothers in Arms, both view skills, all three camo skills, Repairs and is learning Smooth Ride. The Dragon either uses this crew, or the WZ-132A's crew with 5 skills.

 

Here is one of my Ace Tanker games in the Dragon:

 

 

I actually don't have an Ace Tanker on the WZ-132, even though I have two MoEs. This was a nice game anyway:

no autoloader anymore 

 

The 57 and 75 are usable

I really like the 59 -16.

I have the next tank researched but my crew is still a bit weak so I'm staying with 59-16 till it's up to snuff

As with any light, vision, camo, mobility and gun skills with optics, vents and gld or rammer

59-16 is a really fun tank. I loved the 57mm on the T-34 and went with that. The 76 is too inaccurate for me.

I'm in the same position as steelhead above, keeping my crew in the 59-16 until they get some more skills. Currently camo, SS, SitAw. I'd hope to get at least snap shot and either recon, green thumb or muffled shot on there before I move them up.

My favorite LT line so far. They are pocket mediums with fantastic camo values. If you have experience with the Russian meds, the play-style is somewhat similar. Tier 6-8 can play an active/anti-scout role but outside of those you will get torn up by other LTs. They have enough weight to bully and ram other lightly armored tanks (rammed a Sheridan for 500 hp). The tier 8 is the gem of the line, I ended up unlocking both the 132a and WZ-120 because it was such fun.  Have quite a few examples on my channel. 

 

Optics/Stabs/Rammer are my preferred.

It can mount a vertical stabilizer.
