Panther mit 8,8 cm L/71 is my favorite tank to make silver. It's good in all aspects:

  • Mobility
  • Shell penetration
  • accuracy
  • and the most important: preferential MM.

GG, well played. :great:

I don't have it, but isn't it basically a Panther II? Is that L71 8.8 cm gun?

The 13. (Tiger) Kompanie, of Panzer Regiment Großdeutschland, reported on the performance of the 88 mm KwK 36 L/56, when their Tigers engaged the T-34: "First round hits were usually achieved at ranges between 800 to 1,000 meters. At these ranges, the Panzer Granate (they are referring to the PzGr. 39 APCBC ammunition) absolutely penetrated through the frontal armor, and usually still destroyed the engine at the rear of the T-34 tank. In 80 percent of the cases, shots from the same range hitting the side of the hull toward the rear of the tank resulted in the fuel tanks exploding. Even at ranges of 1,500 meters and longer, during favorable weather, it is possible to succeed in penetrating the T-34 with minimal expenditure of ammunition" (JENTZ, Thomas L.; Germany's TIGER Tanks - Tiger I and II: Combat Tactics; op. cit.).

3 MoE tanks: T-34, Pz IVH, Tiger I, Pz.Kpfw. T 25, M7, T-50

It's like Panther II but has preferential MM, 50% silver bonus and a little better gun (reload & accuracy).

On premium panther the gun 88mm L100 is not available. I havent tried it on tree tank, because i played it before this better gun was introduced some months ago

Its a good tank until your team gets rammed or somehow you get cornered by another tank. Had plenty of amazing matches in one, but also as many if not more terrible matches in one as well. If you make one mistake, it will not forgive you. This was my first tier 8 prem.

I will eat your unhappiness.

It has worse hull armour than the Panther II? I've had frontal hits from lower tier tanks go right through the upper hull.

The gun's good so long as you can keep it hot and penning.

All it is is a panther a tier higher with the 88/71. So, you have to treat it as having no armor.

That's what I remember.

Does print silver though.

No kidding. Specially since 88 rounds are cheap. A good game without premium or bonuses will net almost 100k.

During two months of twitch prime I played t34 43 times only)) I hate it. T32 was good though. Now it’s possible to trade it for 1300 gold to get panther 8.8. Is it worth it?

Yes you won't regret it. I really enjoy the Panther 8,8. It's got PMM and is easily the best Panther in the game. If you like supporting meds you will love the 8,8. Do not expect heavium armor but the gun handling is awesome.

I also got the T34 from the Twitch package and am on the fence of trading it in, maybe for a Revalorisé. Don't know yet.

Have the tank and loved it.  It was also my first premium tank.  Does print silver and the gun is good for sniping.. Play in the middle and as the heavy tanks trade shots, help them out by sniping the reds..  one of the few tanks I put permanent camo on..

I traded the Glory for the Panther 88 and couldn't be happier. As the first post said it has:

  • Mobility
  • Shell penetration
  • accuracy

It's not a brawler but if you play to its strengths it does great. I knew I made the right choice when I was hammering away at a T10 and it was doing all it could to stay behind cover from me.

If you like mediums this is definitely worth the trade.

The PMM is it‘s best pro. And it‘s been buffed 3 times now. It‘s the Anti-Superpershing.

After spending some time with the T34 i decided to trade it for the Panther 8.8 and didn't regret the decision. Great tank and off course PMM is a strong bonus to consider.

I did the same. I found the T34 rather boring to play. The Panther 8.8 is much more fun.
