Just done it good td 4th game high caliber and ace tanker think it will be very good with a great crew.

Stage 6. Arsonist or demolition expert medal. You're having a laugh!!

To earn a low tier Merc tank this is a ridiculous requirement. I can see me being stuck on this for ages. And I sure am not coughing up the 500 gold to skip the stage so could well be an uncompleted contract.

It's the things like this that are making the Merc contracts unattractive WG. The frustration does not add to the game experience at all.

I've just checked my stats and in over 32k games I have 341 arsonist and 229 demolition experts.

The odds don't look very good. Just done my dodgy calculations and I have a 1.78% chance of getting one of those. Great.

This one I tried for quite a few games and no luck.  Then I played another tank that was not part of the contract, so yes of course I set the red on fire right away......In any case I was able to get the Arsonist by selecting my fastest firing tank and getting behind every red and shooting them in the back end and rear sides.  Finally set on on fire.

The trouble is that it's not just setting them on fire, you have to destroy them by fire.

I had a game earlier where I set a Fury on fire twice so I was thinking yes here we go and then some git shoots them dead for the last 20 or so hit points!! It's sooo frustrating.

So they have to die by fire? If thats the case, HE a light. I was working on the 7th stage of the reach and decided to give the german tanks a break, saw a turtle try to HE my is and I HE'ed him right back. He caught fire and slowly burned to death. Setting them on fire is not actually too bad, as I said it's getting the kill.

 

You're right with the lights as many don't carry a fire extinguisher. I find the French lights set on fire very easily but then someone always manages to deliver the final kill shot.

I don't carry any extinguishers on my lights, I prefer 2 repair kits and a med kit. It's much more common to get tracked and killed than to be lit on fire as a light.

But after update 4.6 it has become difficlut to apply repair kit like radio chat. Because of WG's stupid update I had lost many chances to get more spots, assist damages and so on. :angry:

Completed it today.
Noticed that you can put emblems on it, however, you cannot see the emblems because they’re covered by the sewer covers on the turret.....

Managed to get a demolition expert today, just as I was about to quit the contract.

Still is a stupid thing to have to get for a low tier merc.

Earned it last night.  Only got one match in it before having to call it a night, but first impressions are promising.  Decent camo and view ranges with paint, net and binos, and man does that gun hit hard.  Looking forward to more in it.

Completed it yesterday, went to put the mercenary emblem on the tank and noticed it will be covered as well, hopefully someone from WG takes note and moves the placement so they can be seen.

Mmmm...... killing  while I am undetected is not easy at stage 4 and stage 7. Surely Arsonist or Demolition expert medal are also difficult one at stage 6. :facepalm:

I luckily killed O-I Exp using SU-85I and got Demolition Expert medal.:) I hope I could clear the 10 stealth kills at stage7 easily. :unsure: 

EDIT : I've got the Roundabout eventually. I hope I could earn other Mercenaries tanks from tier4 to tier8 which I don't have yet.

I'm about 11,000 xp away from getting it.....so maybe tonight if I play.  Or maybe tomorrow.

 

The undetected kills were not too bad.  I play with a lot of scouts and fast mediums (set up for scouting), so sniping undetected is something I do quite a bit.  I also find it easier to use lower tier tanks because the tanks you are playing against may not have very good view range.   I also used an M4 with a derp at times.  Just sit back and blindly lob HE at fools.  

 

The arsonists (almost) SUCKED.  Again, I play with scouts and fast mediums, so a lot of my shots up close are when I circle kill and shoot people in the butt.  On that entire stage, I managed to set only one tank on fire.  It was almost halfway through the stage but it was killed by another tank as it burned.  I ended up passing that stage by total luck. 

When I started a game, I had about 17,900 XP....so I was going to get the XP amount needed.  But I was worried about spending forever trying to get a tank to burn.  During that last game, our team was getting destroyed....so I went YOLO and took about several tanks at once in my Lycan.  I took several tanks out with me, and I was forced into a corner blindly shooting while surrounded by multiple tanks, I noticed on enemy tank was almost dead, so I went for one last kill before I died.  With the last shot I took in the game, and the last shot in my mag, I killed him...split second before I died.

 

When the game ended, I had easily met my XP, but that last shot must have popped his top.  I didn't even know until I the arsonist medal showed up at the end.  TOTAL LUCK.   I didn't have to spend any extra time on that stage, but I didn't meet that requirement until the very end of the game on my very last shot of that stage as I hit the XP level. 


3 MOE's: VK 30.01D (VI), T-34 (V), M-24 Chaffee (V)

2 MOE's: Indien-Panzer (VIII), T-20 (VII), Cromwell B (VI), Snakebite (VI), T-37 (VI), M4 Sherman w/Derp (V), VK 16.02 Leopard (V)

In Stage 6 it says to "Earn a Demolition Expert or Arsonist medal in battle"

When I look up Demolition Expert  it says to "Destroy an enemy vehicle by causing its ammunition to explode."  How do I do that?

and when I look up Arsonist is says to "Destroy an enemy vehicle by setting it on fire."  How do I do that?

 

Need some help here to get past this stage!  Thanks in advance
