Best tanks for setting the enemy on fire in stage 5?

What about sniper in a heavy for the next stage? Tiger 131?

I've found that most tanks are equally fair at setting other tanks on fire. For these contacts I've done with heavies shooting through the fronts and mediums shooting at the backs. You just really have to keep at it. If you know which tier you'll be concentrating, take a look at the tankopedia and try to determine which tanks you'll likely face and their fire chances. For example, at Tier VII I mostly target Tigers because of their 20% fire chance.

But my best suggestion for the fire starting is to work with a teammate. Communicate when you damage an enemy's gas tanks and concentrate on those tanks. I've helped a couple of platoonmates complete the requirements this way. Just keep at it and don't let frustration get the better of you.

Tiger 131, Hammer, or IS (with 100mm gun) are my Sniper heavies. :medal:

Because it's slow and hits hard I run it like a TD.

I'm really hating the stage for setting someone on fire. The tank list I can use is very restrictive - just German and Merc heavies. I'm up to over 50 tier VII battles since I finished the XP portion of the op, and still no fire. I've gone into the module view for a lot of the tier VII tanks and am deliberately aiming at the rear where engines are located, but no success thus far.

This stage would be a lot fairer in a light tank.

Do you have any buddies that you regularly platoon with? Coordinate with them and have them call out tanks when they damage fuel tanks. If you have the Eagle Eye perk you can look for damages fuel tanks for yourself, but that is along process. You're better off with teammates.

If you don't have platoonmates, feel free to look me up (GT: Aliyat EJ on xbox). I'm usually on weeknights after 10pm MST.
