Amx Chaffee, The Joco. Dual trainer with nice Xp bonuses. No silver multiplier though.

This. I think the AMX Chaffee is the only French tank with an actual Crew XP bonus.

The next best tank would then be the AMX CDC Black, but if you don’t got it already, then you might as well ignore its existence.

Playing my AMX Chaffee I see progress even with my 15+ skilled crews.

At the moment i am using my Nomad and AMX M4 MLE 49 and have around 6 perk/skills on each.

The AMX M4 MLE 49  is basically a hybrid of the tier 9 hull and 8 tier turret and gun.

AMX Chaffee is in the garage - thanks all!

It is not the best French trainer, but I would argue it is the best crew trainer overall of the game.

I use it to train the first three for my newly acquired tanks. I have a lot of new purchases laying ahead, so I have some time put aside in proven grounds; 100%, Mentor, Sixth Sense, Brother in Arms. It takes a lot of discipline, but I do not take any of my tanks out with dude crews when in higher tier.

AMX chaffe is the best but the LEFH is not way behind hilarios fun to play.

FCM36PAK40 with 6x crewboost is wow to othe first 5 perks.

Nomad is ok and makes silver along the way.

Le FH cannot really be used in Proven Grounds, to build your crew away from the game.

The FCM36PaK40 is not eclectic at all, and too map dependent to be really useful as a trainer.

If it is Silver you are looking for, I would advocate the AMX CdC, less expensive than the Nomad or the Somua SM.

Like others have said, the Amx Chaffe.  Other tanks mentioned are fun but they don’t train as well.

My only regret is WG bumped it to Tier VII, with the 10% compensation in the XP farming.

This never fully made up for the gains obtained while playing a Tier VI in Tier IX battles.

For those that harvested crew XP's before, they will understand what I am talking about....

Edit: Yeah I was wrong, the Joco has the better crew XP

The Chaffee has a 120% crew XP earn rate. I think the rest have 100%. For me, they work out even, because I'm at least 20% worse of a player in the Chaffee than I am in the others.

The key is to get the Sixth sense skill, and then transfer the crew to the AMX Chaffee.

As I was saying in a different thread, the AMX Chaffee is so vulnerable that it is very cumbersome to play without SS. I have sometimes been one shot just as the "targeted" warning came while unaware that I was even spotted.

Since then, I always train SS on something else, such as "Le FH105" or the FCM 36 PaK 40.

This is one of the major reason why i am anticipating that new light premium HMH 13-105, which is most likely replace my "Le FH105" and "FCM 36 PaK 40 as the initial trainer.

I'll have to look at the crew, but I think they currently have 6th Sense, Track Mechanic, Snap Shot, Situational Awareness, and are currently training Repairs. I have three French tanks, and I just move that one crew around because the tanks are all premiums. Actually, I have four, because I got that Liberte in a war chest, but I haven't played it yet. It's on the chopping block to be traded the next time trade-ins come back.

The best trainer for zero-skill crew is the T-V LeFH arty.

The best trainer after getting at least 6-th sense is AMX Chaffee.

Update to this older thread...

I have been using the chaffee to train 1 new crew for the French line. I train Mentor, BIA, SS, camo or SA and then the other, then recon.

It started rough at 1.5 perks trained, but soured using the x2 summer game completion and adding any of the x4, x6, x8 or 10 crew bonuses. After 3 days, around 4-8 hours of game play in it, I am at 5 perks.

I 1 marked it just before starting (because I was training my BC 12T crew with 6 perks) and my % dropped to 60%, but rose to 70% currently, due to the increased perks and ecperience of playing it regularly.

They said it all AMX Chaffee, combined with Mentor perk deals a very good amount of crew XP.

But it is not a rookie tank, the AMX Chafféee is full of flaws and is unforgiving, you'll need pretty skilled crews, best use it to unlock the 10th or upper perks.

You're right Funktastic Ed, you have to be to be an experienced (and enjoy) light tank player to make this tank work. The chaffee does NOT play the same as the 13-75 nor the 13-57, the latter as compared in another thread.

I do like your point about mentor and BIA, my preference as first two, too increase the crew xp gain; makes building crews sooo much easier. I am not trying to create a mentor thread, this is purely my preference.
