It's seriously rediculous.  I cant see my in game ping here, but in any other game it's always been good, like me seeing double digit ping is a rarity.  I know that might put a sour taste in some of your mouths but I digress, not the point.

The point is with my near ideal conection, this game has HORRIBLE latency, and it's only gotten worse since the NA server merger, which is completely unacceptable.  Server ping/overall latendl should improve, not get worse for everyone.  I get lag spikes almost every game and there's a solid 1/4-1/3 of a second input delay on all actions (this game only, no it's not my tv or controller, yes those have delay too but I experience that on every game, not just wot).

Tanks can cover 50+ meters in the open before getting spotted (PC got a server overhaul specifically because new light tanks were able to cross openings on maps before getting spotted, this is a persistent issue here on console).  The time between pulling the trigger and the shell actually firing is so inconstent my accuracy has never been worse, and let's not even talk about how bad enemy tanks models dsync from client to client (you can shoot the side of the turret the same time they are shooting you, it's rediculous).  On PC autoaim works for almost everyone against anything but lights, on here you need to lead with APCR because the delay on firing is so bad and it doesn't track your gun movement during this time (why shells will fly out of the side of your gun sometimes when your turret is turning)

So this leads my question, why are our servers run out of a McDonald's parking lot?  Seriously it's laughbly bad at times, and it didn't use to be nearly as bad.  The issue may have compounded from newer, faster tanks being added, but it certainly hasn't improved like it needed to.  It's a completely pointless reason for the game to be frustrating.

Anyway that's my micro rant, it's just annoying as hell.

I guess I'm in a minority on this one,

Easiest check for me is aiming vs firing.  If I'm reloading and I aim, it's a consistent time between trigger pull and the reticle changing.  For firing (much easier to repeat if reloading), the audio cue for still loading takes easily 3x as long to come up, which is reflective of how long it takes my shells to fire after I pull the trigger.

Like I said it's just in this game, although my router has also taken a [edited]recently and the WiFi is out (wired in), so that might explain it.

Anyway appreciate all the input

I usually play with my ipad on YouTube next to me, I've found that most of the time I've had bad lag on WoT then my ipad takes a hit as well. At least from my experience it's my Internet more often than it is the servers.

I have big lag issues with NA server it changes just after the summer before that i did play NA almost all the time.

I tried to get some explanations but when they blamed my connection and i got optic fibre with hardwire direct to the splitter well cant argue against that so EU for me until they decide to working towards a solution.

Thanks for the info, that was really informative!

Just one question though, I was under the impression that WoWs was developed by Wargaming (RU), while console was explicitly made by WG West and that (as far as business entitiees go) these were independent.  I'm assuming based on this comment that you use the same data centers though? (At least for the America servers I should say)

So our latency is in hands of that bald guy and whether he will remember to start the diesel generators. I don't trust him, and I don't think those tanks are full of diesel. Someone should check that diesel, I think baldy might be selling it around to local farmers.

Spoiler

The 13. (Tiger) Kompanie, of Panzer Regiment Großdeutschland, reported on the performance of the 88 mm KwK 36 L/56, when their Tigers engaged the T-34: "First round hits were usually achieved at ranges between 800 to 1,000 meters. At these ranges, the Panzer Granate (they are referring to the PzGr. 39 APCBC ammunition) absolutely penetrated through the frontal armor, and usually still destroyed the engine at the rear of the T-34 tank. In 80 percent of the cases, shots from the same range hitting the side of the hull toward the rear of the tank resulted in the fuel tanks exploding. Even at ranges of 1,500 meters and longer, during favorable weather, it is possible to succeed in penetrating the T-34 with minimal expenditure of ammunition" (JENTZ, Thomas L.; Germany's TIGER Tanks - Tiger I and II: Combat Tactics; op. cit.).

3 MoE tanks: T-34, Pz IVH, Tiger I, Pz.Kpfw. T 25, M7, T-50

I did the dirt work for the emergency cooling system reservoir of one of the biggest data centers in the USA.

That was an impressive amount of water capacity to cool it when/if power went down and generators.had to kick in.

The genarators were school bus sized and there were dozens of them.

Oh, and I'd just like to point out the "undisclosed location" of these data centers could be under a McDonald's parking lot, just saying :P

Today I was streaming WOT to my laptop (via Win10 Xbox App) at work around 25 miles from my XB1. I only lagged out of 1 game, due to a local problem.

Servers seem fine to me over here.
