If I were next to water, got hit, lit on fire and drove into the water.  Would it extinguish the tank?

I’ve never been able to do it.  I almost did just now but I didn’t make it to the water before a second shot did me in.  My whole night is ruined now.

It wouldn't immediately extinguish it, but it would put the fire out faster, depending on the depth of water you are in.

Shallow Water:

  • Fire chance is reduced by 10%
  • Fire burn time is reduced by 25%

Deep Water:

  • Fire chance is reduced by 50%
  • Fire burn time is reduced by 75%

EDIT: Deep water means your drowning timer is displayed.

Thanks for the info.  I had no idea this existed at all.  I understand deep water is the timer being displayed but does what counts as shallow water?  When the drowning symbol shows but not counting down?

Shallow water is when you are in the water but no drowning timer :P

Thank for the info!

It’s not one of those things that really happens often.  Usually when I’m set ablaze I’m nowhere near water.

auto Fire Extinguisher+ Supply Conservation skill

Supply conservation? Im guessing another P2W skill you can only get by purchasing a prem tank

Used to have to buy the Kraft Panther to have the skill but i earned one for free in the First Set of Lootboxes along with another Bogatyr Crew. Not sure if earning the Kraft these days gives you the skill but been posted that it does so theirs a second way for Free :)

Wow! Never knew this - so thanks Max.

Seems the trick is to be in the water enough to put to fire out but not long enough to drown.

Nice!

I had experienced it in first person, since I have several tanks with no fire extinguishing equipment. Set ablaze once, close to the water, I drove into it thinking it may help to put out the flames.

It did, but until now, I was not certain it was part of the game mechanics.

Just for clarification.

A tank with an engine with 15% fire chance stands in shallow water. Is the fire chance then 5%((15-10)%) or 13.5%((15-10%)%)?

I find myself wanting further clarification here.

"In water" - is this with a symbol showing and no counter or just any part of the tracks touching water or hull?

we are talking about submergible water not random shallow puddles right?

Any of the weather effects have an impact?

When a person resorts to attacking the other person rather than focusing on the issue (aka argumentum ad hominem), it becomes pretty clear they have nothing else to contribute and are wrong.

For some tanks it is a random shallow puddle. For the UE57 it is an ocean.
