I'd love to see consumables on a 90 second refresh timer just like on the PC...

Thoughts?

Yes please, especially with how our artillery differs from theirs.

I believe Max has stated that reusable consumables is never coming to console

^^^ pretty much this.  Reusable consumables came to PC as a result of the artillery re-balance.  We aren’t getting that same rebalance and thus no need to change consumables.

I hate the idea of reusable consumables. Would take away any need to be judicious in using your kits, and the strategy of getting the enemy to use up theirs. People would get crippled and then just hide for a few minutes and fix everything. That's like half of a respawn. One of the things I really appreciate about this game is that it is one life per game - spend it wisely.

Reusables enable players to make bad decisions. Bad idea, it helps dumb the game down further.

All good points...

But...

This is supposed to be a game...an enjoyable game... of skill...

And i've lost count of the number of times the first hit i take Ammo racks me, repair, then the next shot Racks me again. So then you have to battle through that handicap, and it would be far more "enjoyable" if that game ruining handicap would last a couple of minutes and not the terminal punishment that it is.

Where's the skill when that Heavy you've been plinking away at just reuses their Medkit or Repairs?

And how often do you get ammoracked early in the game?

Like it on PC so that is why we can t have it for console. It is quality of life change and need to remove stun from time to time keep over use in check.

When I get in those situations, I acknowledge it as my fault unless I’m surrounded by reds.  As a rule, if I’m racked twice, I didn’t do enough to protect it.  It’s more common in some tanks than others, of course.  All that to say I don’t think we need something like that, as it would allow me to get lazy about not getting shot in the first place, something I’m trying to improve on.

I remember the last thread about this.  I was very vocal in my dislike for the idea.  My feelings haven't changed.  I think it's bad for the game.

That said, I've wished for it in the heat of battle, and would abuse the heck out of it if it was in the game.

Exactly, and one part of this is that you have to learn to deal with limited resources.

The more repair kits, the better.

Kraft's Perk Supply Conservation is basically what they have on PC but it has like a 5% chaance to happen and there is no cooldown, it just does not use up the consumable allowing you to use it 2 times

Oh sweet, you must be so skilled you don't need consumables then?

Or equipment??

Or even Ammo?

So skilled.

Reusable consumables were not put into the PC version because of the arty updates, they were just part of the massive 9.18 update where many aspects of the game were changed fundamentally. Since we are stuck with the unnerfed arty, still see up to 5 per match, they still have all ammo types available to them, and for that matter the unnerfed TD's we need reusable consumables more than PC does. Among the reasons stated for implementing reusable consumables was that it improves the quality and enjoyment level of the game.

I say the opposite is true.
