I don't know if it is just the relief from being done with the A-44, but the stock obj 416 has been remarkably painless.  I have had no urge to spend free xp, just running the bonus boosts that can't be turned off.  

 

So for all the grinders out there that don't skip packages, which stock packages were the least unpleasant for you?

Had the same experience going from the Black Prince to the Caernarvon. I blew the free xp I had saved up for the Caernarvon packages to be rid of the Prince. The stock Caernarvon was like playing a super car after the 3 tanks that precede it.

I didn't mind the Centurion stock, it didn't have the turret that it gets in later packages, but its mobile enough and the guns quick firing

If you think the 416 is painless now you might get aroused when it's at it's peak.

 

That being said, the M6 I remember being relatively painless. Am I cheating with saying a tier 6 though...

Isnt the stock gun on the 416 the preferred gun? Can't remember it's been a long time ...

It has the exact same rate of fire and aim time, but worse pen on both standard and premium, worse accuracy and worse alpha than top gun.

 

Somehow I wouldn't think so.

No, the upgrade is the good gun from the T54, with practically the same stats, slightly worse handling.

I went through that years ago, but it was largely the same back then.  The BP was worse then, but I think the stock Caerbear plays great compared to it.

 

I do better in tier 10 games with the stock 416 than I did bottom tier with the upgraded A-44.
