Important question here. So what tier premium is the best to crew train? I have premiums of all tiers they are available and more crew xp boosts than I can count and I would like to just immediately give myself a skill or two. I know that premium tanks give higher xp bonuses the lower tier they are and that you get more base xp the higher tier you go, so which tier would get me the most crew xp in the least number of battles?

Trained a 23 skill/perk in the RamPanzer. Probably swapped it about in a couple of Premiums.

theres only about 8 - 10 premiums that are actually good to own.

Nope, all XP is actually crew xp. Think outside the box.

err, only a select number of premiums have an additional Crew XP bonus modifier on top of the normal premium silver/xp boost.

they are the premiums that are worth the money being asked.

Churchill III has 100% crew XP. Think it's the highest premium tank bonus for ya Ruskie crews.

But, T34-88 trains both German and Russian crews and, weirdly, get a free XP bonus. Every garage should have one. Plus, it's a blast to play. Not quite PamPanzer or Minuteman crazy, but very stronk.

The best thing to do is look in the tankopedia on the main portal. It gives the bonuses as part of the stats. Several of the tanks that have the extra crew modifier give up something else. The T-44-88 has 150% tank xp, 120% crew xp, 7% free xp, but gives up the extra silver earnings, totally worth it though. Which tank type and tiers do you do best in, that's where to look.

The Churchill III has a 78% XP bonus as a premium, not 100% - still good though.  Difficulty with the tank is getting enough base XP to make the multiples worth something.

So here are all my premium tanks as of right now:

  • T1E6-X1
  • Lycan
  • T23E3
  • T14
  • Boilermaker
  • Pz. T 15
  • FMC 36 Pak 40
  • Raseiniai
  • Father Frost
  • Honor
  • Glory

Which one would give me the most crew xp taking into account base xp for tier, xp bonus, and crew xp bonus?

Dunno, probably take me a week to go through my premium tanks. Lookin at your premiums, seems you have more US,, so run the USofA crew through your premiums for the daily doubles. + the crews original tank.

I don't think any of your tanks have the added crew xp modifier on top of the xp modifier they already have. It looks like the boilermaker may be your best all rounder for xp and silver earnings if your looking to train a Brit crew. The lower tier tanks usually get higher multipliers to make up for less available xp but that means tanks like the T1E6-X1 can train crews at roughly the same rate higher tier tanks do. There really isn't a best answer here outside of which ones to you play the best in thus making the most xp with.

Higher tiers will probably get it done in the least number of battles, but you can actually train crews faster at lower tiers because the games don't last as long.

Not really best tier, best would be as many daily doubles as possible.

i do prefer tier 5 and lower for ‘new’ crews, and once ss is added i usually start at tier 8’s and work my way down

Fresh crews suffer too much at high tiers imho get a few perks low down at least sixth sense and BiA or repair maybe one other depending on class before you try to go up too high
