Even Tankers need somewhere to set their drinks, and where better than atop a coaster with some World of Tanks art? That's where you come in! We want you to create a physical coaster with a World of Tanks theme to keep that unsightly ring from your glasses off your table! The top three coasters will win a gold prize!

How do I participate?
• Make a World of Tanks-related coaster from any absorbent material such as paper, cardboard, wood, etc.
• Post a picture of your coaster, and a couple of pictures of its construction in this forum thread.

What are the rules?
• All players are welcome to participate! Each participant can submit only one entry.
• The coaster must be created exclusively for the contest.
• The recommended coaster size is 8 to 10 cm. (Diameter or side length)
• Submit a picture of your coaster without a cup on it. We have to be able to see it!
• The resolution of the contest pictures must be between 800x600 px and 1900x1300 px; the size must not exceed 700 KB, allowed formats are JPEG, PNG, or GIF.
• All of the pictures must contain your gamertag. Write your gamertag on a piece of paper and place it beside the coaster so that it is clearly visible. Do not use graphic editors
• Photo montage is strictly forbidden.

• Please note that your submission must meet moral, ethical and legal standards as well as the Forum rules.
• Wargaming.net has the exclusive rights to your work once it is published on the forum, according to the section “6. Exclusive rights” of the EULA.

Important!
• The presentation of your project is the key to victory! Submissions will be judged on their creativity, complexity, and crafstmanship!

The contest ends March 10!

Prizes:
1st place: 3000 gold
2nd place: 2000 gold
3rd place: 1000 gold

Nice work, Vampyrii!

The deadline may only be one week, but we know you all can make some cool stuff in that time!

Please forgive a few of the pics not having gamertag as they were taken during action but I wanted to show proof of process.

I decided to make my coaster from Cedar. Great resistance to moisture damage and will last a long time as permanent fixture in our home. I took the WOT Logo as inspiration.

Starting with a plank of Cedar to finished product.

It was cut out on the bandsaw

It was then split in half on the bandsaw

Each of the halves were then sanded using a belt sander

The WOT logo was then transferred to one of the halves and a hole was drilled to accommodate a jig saw.

inner pieces were then cut out on the band saw.

inner pieces were profiled with a small file and 400 grit sand paper.

all the parts were then glued, clamped and allowed to dry. They were then taken to the torch for the burn phase.

Raised segments were then sanded with 400 grit to finished look. Small burn tool was used to fill in areas missed by the torch.

Here it is now ready for service

on the back

Tank you for the inspiration, this was a fun little project. The Coaster was finished with food grade mineral oil and will be the home for my drinks while I tank through the night.

I'm not the best with arts and crafts but I'll try making coasters of the tank symbols.  All classes, both green and red

Just getting my idea in here already.

Edit: Finally done, took me long enough lol.

I don't work with tools much, so my vise on the floor set up probably looks pretty bad lol.

Spray painting the friendly coasters.

Spray painting the enemy coasters.

Painting the stripes on the heavy and medium coasters

The arty coaster is painted on both sides because they can teamkill :)

One coaster in action.
