Please forgive a few of the pics not having gamertag as they were taken during action but I wanted to show proof of process.

I decided to make my coaster from Cedar. Great resistance to moisture damage and will last a long time as permanent fixture in our home. I took the WOT Logo as inspiration.

Starting with a plank of Cedar to finished product.

It was cut out on the bandsaw

It was then split in half on the bandsaw

Each of the halves were then sanded using a belt sander

The WOT logo was then transferred to one of the halves and a hole was drilled to accommodate a jig saw.

inner pieces were then cut out on the band saw.

inner pieces were profiled with a small file and 400 grit sand paper.

all the parts were then glued, clamped and allowed to dry. They were then taken to the torch for the burn phase.

Raised segments were then sanded with 400 grit to finished look. Small burn tool was used to fill in areas missed by the torch.

Here it is now ready for service

Tank you for the inspiration, this was a fun little project. The Coaster was finished with food grade mineral oil and will be the home for my drinks while I tank through the night.

Alright everybody, shows over, time to go home.

This is cool...but is it an absorbent material? I only ask cause it was one of the specs for this and I dont want to see you disqualified.

Absolutely incredible work on these, everyone! Seeing the level of work everyone put into them through your pictures is really impressive. Time to announce the winners!

1st place goes to SomeoneBettah for his cedar World of Tanks logo coaster! Seriously nice jigsaw work, SomeoneBettah! That detailing with the torch was very cool.

2nd place goes to Bmangels15, with these tank icon-inspired coasters, with one set for friendlies and another for enemies! Looking at these makes me realize that our office needs to have these sitting under every drink we have at our desks.

3rd place goes to AgedVSOP's "Roll Out" coaster! Also, while not counted as part of the entry, the WoTea bag was a nice touch. :teethhappy:

Congratulations to all our winners, and thanks to everyone who participated! We do have to give honorable mentions to two players though, who, although they didn't create coasters, made some incredible drink-holders any World of Tanks fan would love to rest their beverages in:

uhg not again's cardboard tank with a bottle riding in the turret,

and Silver Fro V360's aluminum armored vehicle, the perfect fit for any can! Great stuff you two!

Wow, Cooool!

So many great entries. Congrats to all the winners and thanks WG for allowing us the opportunity to partake in these events. Looking forward to the next one.

Gunlion WGA thank you for kind praise.
