Picking a new Tier 8 Premium

Which of the tanks below is the tank in which you have the most amount of fun? Fun could mean whatever you think it should mean. I should be getting a premium tank in the short term future, and would like perspectives on what would probably work best for me. I don't need to worry about training, or silver, I just want to have fun.

I actually enjoy all types of engagement except perhaps sniping. So brawling, run and gun, peek a boom, working a ridgeline, autoloaders, hull down; I'm comfortable with pretty much all of that. Current favorites include Primo Victoria, T28 Concept, Chrysler, KV-5, Knight/Snakebite, Borsig, STRV M/42-57.  Right now, my short list is between the Iron Rain and the Atomic. Any thoughts?

Vengence
Patriot
T32-A Proto
Wraith
Lowe
King Tiger
Iron Rain
Atomic
Volk T44-100
Defender
Bizon
Nomad
Egalite
King Dragon
Yazi
50TP Prototype

There is a Personal Offer for the King Dragon for 5100 gold. It’s almost like having a T-54 with 390 Alpha damage.

I would add a small side note: Not all of the tanks on your list are currently for sale.

The King Dragon is an amazing tank. It's a fairly mobile medium with solid frontal armor, especially on the turret, decent gun depression at seven degrees, and a 390 alpha damage gun. Like BrogueOne said, it's basically a tier VIII T54 that sacrifices premium ammo pen and some DPM for very solid alpha damage, and it's probably my second favorite tier VIII in the game (the only tier VIII I enjoy more is the T34).

Other than that, both the Object 252u and the Patriot are great heavy tanks in their own ways. The Defender is a very good brawler thanks to its fantastic armor and very powerful 440 alpha gun (it feels like a tier VIII IS-7), while the Patriot is your typical hull down American heavy, but with good DPM and good mobility for a heavy.

Vengence - awesome crew training, but that much fun

Patriot - one of my all-time favorites. A clear contender.
T32-A Proto - tech tree one is better
Wraith - I can't endorse playing mediums without turret armor when so many do have it
Lowe - from what I hear, one of the best. One of the only t8s I need to aim carefully at in a 10
King Tiger - No, Lowe is better
Iron Rain - 45 see reloads aren't fun.  TT is better
Atomic - yes?
Volk T44-100 - probably. I think it's ove of the fastest
Defender - No. The gun is unbearably troll
Bizon - not sure, sends unpopular
Nomad - eh. See Iron Rain. But it is better than the 50 100
Egalite - sends ok
King Dragon - yes, especially on personal offer (ugly!!!)
Yazi - also one of my all-time favorites but much harder to play than the Patriot
50TP Prototype - not sure, but I know it got nerfed

See my thought above. But if you don't need silver or training, why not one of the awesome tech tree tanks? The T32, IS-3, Bulldog, LTTB, VK100.01P are all fun. Heck, if you're not going premium, play tier 9! Literally the best tanks and the best matchmaking.

My picks would be the T32-A, King Dragon, and King Tiger. The auto-loader is a phenomenal tank, and lots of fun to play. One of my favorite recent tanks in the game and only acquired as a fluke - I'll never regret picking it up. The Chinese medium looks good, at least to me, and performs very well and while I'd probably choose the 4202 as my go to medium, that's not on your list. And the King Tiger, a good all around tank which makes lots of silver, which I guess is kinda fun. But just one? T32-A Proto hands down.

I was actually going to pick up a T32-A until I saw that it has the stock turret. It would feel wrong to play an America heavy that doesn't have turret armor.

Just as wrong as playing a French tank with armor, but somebody has to take one for the team. ;)

Due to the fact that the King Dragon currently costs 5.1k via personal offer, it is a no brainer to get it. Aside from that, i'd suggest the Atomic. Mobile, good dpm, amazing pen, great turret armour, ridiculous silver bonus. I advised my mate to get one and he is swimming in silver. It isn't his first tier 8 prem, but its earning potential has made it so it appears to be his favourite.

However they offered it recently so not sure if it will be on sale anytime soon.

I'll echo the personal offer for the King Dragon.  Also, be patient for offers.  If you decide to go sniper TD, a personal offer for the Swedish flagship STRV TD was/is on personal offer too.

There are still some severe frustrations, but I still love to play.

I think that both Patriot or Somua would be good choices

As its fun you're wanting, i personally have the most in either the Atomic, Nomad or Yazi.

Atomic is mobile, good rof and the turret bounces alot since the buff. I like the Nomad clip size and can bounce a bit too and really is a fun tank, and the Yazi can bounce shots all day and hits like a train! Good mobilty too so i say all these three give me a big smile when i play them.,

True, but it makes it more balanced with the autoloader but the main selling point is the 10% Free XP Bonus (Comes out of your Base XP not the Full XP).

Yeah, I agree that having the stock turret was definitely the right option considering how OP it would be with an invincible turret. I didn't know it has a higher free XP rate though (which makes it one of only two premiums to have they bonus along with the T-34-88, if I'm correct?).

Yeah T-34-88 has either 6 or 7%. T-32A has 10%. I still feel it was done to promote Free XP Premiums coming to the game very soon which was a good move.

From that list, I'd have to say King Tiger for me.

It's reliable and i love mine but i'd pick the Lowe over the King Tiger, 5% Extra Silver and it's cheaper, probably even if you add camo, King Tigers good as well though.

Go King Dragon (especially at the special offer price) and thank me later.

Wow, I’m proud of my cut back on spending habits in this game...I only own three of those.

That King Dragon offer right now is really nice. You should get that, even if the tank is ugly as sin.
