I've played most of the American ones and my favorite is the Hellcat.  I like the gun damage but I really like being able to snipe with it without being detected.  Basically, with binoculars, I see you before you see me.  I also like the mobility so I can adjust to a changing battle over time.

Given all that, which TD would you point me to?

Also, which is your favorite and why?

Fwiw, in the Hellcat, I have 800 battles with a 57% WR (never play in platoons) and have 2 MOE.

Vindicator is a charioteer with little gun is very cool too, it fires rapidly, they do not see you after shots because of its gun, and it moves fast.

WT auf PZ. IV is amazing! it hits hard and reloads fast (560 average damage and like a 8ish second reload) it is also very stealthy, accurate and has a lot of pen!

Edit: it also has a fully rotational turret

I think you just missed the sales offer for The Hidden Stug3 last week.

Otherwise, from memory. I'll assume you'll have to start new grinds.

Tech Tree german TDs: Stug, Jagdpanzer IV, Borsig, WT auf PzIV

US: T67

UK: Archer

WZ-131G FT - great mobility, camo and awesome 100mm gun

Jagdpanzer IV - sloped armour (can bounce shots quite well), amazing gun (aim time, dispersion) and over 2000 DPM with an accurate gun

Most TDs lose their turrets or camo as they get higher tier.  You're looking at a limited selection: T25/2 (the tank after the Hellcat), the other US TD line at tiers 5 and 6, Plaugebringer, German Waffles at tiers 8 and 9, maybe the British turreted line, I've never played it.

It's too bad.  I've three marked the 5, 6 and 7 in the Hellcat line, but that style of TD play isn't really found at high tiers.

It's hard to beat the Hellcat, and between the camo net/binocs setup, and the crew having all the camo skills, I can usually spend a long time undetected. I recently bought the Stark Strv, and it's taking quite some time to get the hang of. It has a great gun, and you can pivot the tank without losing the camo net/binocs, but the instant you squeeze that trigger, you're detected. I now have the camo skill and am training muffled shot, but it still really announces its presence when firing.

Also, unlike most of the Sov and German casemate tanks, the gun has no movement within the hull, so if you're tracked (which happens a LOT), you can't aim side-to-side. And most of the time when I'm tracked, the tank pivots a bit, so I lose what I was aiming at. The siege mode tanks take a lot of getting used to, so bear that in mind.

I have the E25 and like it a lot. Great for running around the map and annoying the reds!

  • T67,
  • Borsig,
  • Plaguebringer,
  • Charioteer,
  • Achilles

These tanks might be closest to the Hellcat's style.

Get the Audace; it is new, and looks good. All the rest is conversation.

Bad teams are in the same battle. Good teams work together! don't complain, contribute.

Sorry but T30 is not camper TD. IF you camp with him you dont youse his potential. Its helper in front line.

The problem is past tier 6 the campy snipertd mode is hard to find.  View range gets good on all tanks and map selection becomes all corridors and city maps for snipers to do well consistently.  I'd suggest to stay with what you like.  Now that being said is it your intention to get to tier 10 or stay in lower tiered gameplay?  If ten is not the goal then I'd suggest German borsig Russian isu or British turreted lines. Hesh guns think start at tier 7?  Wicked fun.  If you want to get to top tier then I suggest American e4 Russian object 268 or German jaggaroo lines.  Armor enough to trade and big guns to punish the reds.  And those lines can take advantage of the corridor maps and basically negate the view range problems at higher tiers.  Different gameplay then what you suggested but viable.

Of all the TD’s, for me, the ultimate best one is the Hellcat. I’m one to abuse the turreted TD camo, and the ability to quickly scoot, allows me to be all over the map like a Ninja. I suck at the non turreted TD’s though. However, from the receiving end, the Soviet SU-152, and German turreted TD’s (along with some of the non-turreted like the Ferdinand), are very powerful.
