Good old WG...I can imagine this scene when they think about those evil schemes.

Let's switch their gold for silver...do it now! Nobody will notice...and if they do...Well I don't give a crap.

Garage

Thanks to xRoni7x for this awesome sig!

To top it off, I accentally bought the Pudel outright, when swapping around deciding what I wanted to trade now. I asked Raibot to fix it, so hopefully will get all back. Man, my day of tanks hasn't gone how I planned lol.

Quick question...when trading in a vehicle that has special equipment on it, do you have to dismount at a cost of 10 gold per item? What happens if you sell it or trade it in without doing so? Please don't tell I've been wasting gold doing this before the sale/trade.

This seems like a good way to kill the trade in program that has been on shaky legs already.

You guys have way too high expectations.

The trade-in program is supposed to be a good deal for both sides involved.

In which parallel universe is trading in the Fatherland which you got for free just for playing the game and getting the Pudel, which is worth 3500 Gold + getting 4000 Gold on top of that,  a good deal for WG?

I still love it! Gets me at least something for a tank I don't play.

If you sell or trade a vehicle with complex equipment it gets trashed, no refund.

You've been doing it right.

Who do you suppose will end up with the gold that said player gets?

Players are only wanting what was offered to them earlier.

Yes it still is good for them because then I take that 4k gold and spend another 3-5k gold of my own along with it to get a different tank. So they still end up with me spending a decent chunk I otherwise wouldn't on a tank I would otherwise seem too expensive.

Garage has too many tanks to list now...

Yup. Really, really scummy move. Incredibly greedy, dishonest, and conniving.

Puts a bad odor over the entire 5th year anniversary event.

You're trading one tank for another tank....if getting a tier VIII premium for free is fine, why isn't getting a tier VI and part of a tier VII for free fine? You'd have to buy some additional gold to really make use of the 4k. I know a friend who was going to do that. So it does benefit them.

It’s always been excess refunded in silver

This^

As a veteran player I know 100% that WarGaming does not give you gold back  in trade ins, they won't even give you gold when you sell your premium tanks, that's been a policy since day one, the people that got gold back "caught" a very nasty (lucky) bug.  :P

People that got gold back from the trade in should hide and not disclose how much they got back because the grinch  will steal Christmas once again :P

If you are unsatisfied with the trade in just call customer service and get your old unplayed tank back so it can sit in your garage and not be touched ever again :izmena:

I traded 4 "useless" tanks and got 4 "better" tanks, im' very happy.  :medal:

Fair point, but the trade-in program, even without gold refunds, is still a big improvement compared to not having that program at all.

I traded in my Liberté(which was collecting dust in my garage) today and got a Tiger 131 basically for free. (I think I had to pay 150 Gold).

And then I traded in my Hammer to get a Pudel for free.

I certainly appreciate having two new tanks that i really wanted for giving away two tanks that I completely lost interest in.

Someone should do a poll, (polls are rare in the forums :teethhappy: ) a poll about getting rid of the trade in program because it does not give gold back or keep it as is with silver refunds. :coin: I'm pretty sure players will call for a boycott ;)

WG should really honor the gold back. The fact it was even a possibility means it was discussed in office meetings but most importantly, it went live. It also slipped by the employees or was it. This is their 3rd try at the trade in program I believe, and they said they are really happy with this 3rd try.

I think what really ended up happening is that a lot earnable tanks from past especially the fatherland being high in value in gold was being traded in cause its no loss for the players who earned it for free but not only that, the Fatherland is known as a not so good premium. A flood of fatherlands mustve rolled in and WG noticed the gold payout among masses.

I wouldn’t doubt that most players bought extra gold to cover the remaining expense that they needed for a trade in or bundle after they got quite a bit of gold from the trade in of Fatherland to Pudel.   If these players didn’t get that extra gold from trade in, there’s a high possibility they wouldn’t have spent money.

even if they didn't right away its eventually gonna make it's way back to wargamings pocket one day or another. This fake gold isn't good at the local tavern
