Hello Fellow Tankers & Staff,

I am here today to give you the Highlights of my Trade-in deals. I hope you will share your deals as well. I thought WGCB got this event 100% right. Next from them I would like to see one for all Tier II - VI being just as good & far reaching as this one was. Well let us move on to the show shall we....

In the first round we watched as the heavy hitting American T-34 & 1,900 gold was traded to WGCB for the British flanker Banshee:

In round two we saw the Soviet work horse Motherland & 737 gold get traded for the Soviet big hitter KV-122 & 4,788 silver:

Round three was no surprise when the Soviet skill position ISU-130 & 550 gold got traded away for that American beast the Minuteman:

The most shocking trade came at the end of day one in round four when SPP sent packing to Chicago the German King Tiger & 2,850 gold for a player he had wanted in the early days. The Swedish Rocker Primo Victoria & 36,000 silver:

Well that was an exciting day one that is for sure. The last two rounds on day two could still hold some value for SPP's team though.

On day two round five found the American T95E2 & 2,190 gold packing its bags & moving on. The team wanted in on the Black Tank Hype & brought in the British FV201 Black & 50,256 silver:

The finale trade of the event for SPP's Team was more a changing of the guard bringing in some new blood. The older Japanese STA-2 & 5,100 gold was sent into retirement as the Japanese STA-2 Black & 44,000 silver was brought into the fold:

Well that wraps it up for me. I think I did ok here got some tanks I have wanted added two Black tanks & I think I improved my garage some. For me 13,327 gold is a lot had to cash in some MS rewards so I could do this but I think in the long run it was worth it.

Again thanks WGCB for the event & I honestly do think you got this one right.

I also really do hope others will share some screen shots of their new acquisitions during this event.

+1 Nice SPP. I got the IS6 Blk,  STA2 Blk,  Fv201(A45)Blk,  Lowe Blk,  CDC Blk. Traded the  Lowe,  STA2,  IS6,  IS3A,  M46 KR and around 23,000 gold. I'm happy. Thanks WG.  Kept my Og T34 because I own the Vengeance.  Passed on T-34-3, I own a King Dragon.

Good job!

All I did so far is ISU-130 for STA-2 Black trade.

The 13. (Tiger) Kompanie, of Panzer Regiment Großdeutschland, reported on the performance of the 88 mm KwK 36 L/56, when their Tigers engaged the T-34: "First round hits were usually achieved at ranges between 800 to 1,000 meters. At these ranges, the Panzer Granate (they are referring to the PzGr. 39 APCBC ammunition) absolutely penetrated through the frontal armor, and usually still destroyed the engine at the rear of the T-34 tank. In 80 percent of the cases, shots from the same range hitting the side of the hull toward the rear of the tank resulted in the fuel tanks exploding. Even at ranges of 1,500 meters and longer, during favorable weather, it is possible to succeed in penetrating the T-34 with minimal expenditure of ammunition" (JENTZ, Thomas L.; Germany's TIGER Tanks - Tiger I and II: Combat Tactics; op. cit.).

3 MoE tanks: T-34, Pz IVH, Tiger I, Pz.Kpfw. T 25, M7, T-50

Another person who lost the amazing T34. :(

I also have to wonder why you would trade in anything for the KV-122, much less the rather good Motherland.

Nice trades , i already had the FV201 Black and Banshee and Minuet man from previous bundles and events last year, but did trade the IS6 for the KV 122 which for me was a no brainier as its obsolete now , and i traded my ISU 130 plus 2500 gold for the STA 2 Black to complete my collection of all 3 of them (sad i know but its a good tank) :)

I swapped out my IS6 for the Black, CDC for the black, Traded ISU-130 for the FV201 A45 Black, and may still trade the Fatherland IS 3A for the Primo Victoria.

Glory IS-5 for FV201 Black. Not bad, but the turret is pretty trash, negating it's hull-down effectiveness.

You sir may keep me from trading the T34, even though my (very) few games in it did nothing to convince me it has any redeeming features.

It is only 1000 more gold (1800 vs 800) to trade the Centennial for the Minuteman, and the Centennial just isn't a tank I think I'll ever want to roll out in.

I just traded my SU-122-44 and Fatherland in for a Pudel and Primo Victoria respectively. First match aced the Pudel, and I can tell I'm going to get more use out of it than the Soviet tank. Not a lot of other tanks that I want or need, or can get a good enough deal on. Possibly the Tiger 131 but I don't know what to trade for it. If only the Krap Panther was eligible to trade. :D

My absolute favorite part of this event was the fact you could trade down, that was exactly what I was hoping for so I'm very glad WG did it properly.

A 120 with a reliable turret at tier 8 isn't redeemable? It's an absolute monster hull down and played right. Fire rate and below average aim time are my main complaints, otherwise it plays a pseudo heavy TD support role wonderfully. Had a match earlier where I kept an IS-3 and two Obj 416s pinned because they couldn't touch me since I was hull down.

Right? I love the T34. It fits the role perfectly of an American tank that doesn't know what class it is.

Also, when someone calls the T34 a bad tank:

Fatherland and 1,000-ish gold for the STA-2 black, and the tierVIII ISU and 550 gold for the Minuteman. Always wanted the STA-2, so I am happy for the moment. WG got me to buy a little more gold, I certainly wouldn't have purchased these otherwise.

Damn the torpedoes.........full speed ahead!

I traded a Fatherland for a Pudel (got the gold exchange as wells which certainly helped later purchases), Artic Tiger for the Banshee, King Tiger for the CDC Black and the IS-6 for the KV-122.

Seeing how I never played any of them and the only one I brought outright was the IS-6 years ago, not too bad.

You can PM with with questions, if you wish. I don't bite.

Nice one! I did two trades so far:

ISU-130 -> Tiger 131

Absurdation -> Pudel

Both cost me some gold but were totally worth it and I couldn't be happier.

This is a very good event indeed.

WOW! Lots of great trades here I may have to do a supplemental trade and get the Pudel. Remember all no matter what you do get some tanks that YOU want not what others think you should get. This is a console game after all & fun however you define that is the key here. So good luck all & let's hope that WGCB has great success with this so that we will so more great events like this...

I sent one of my FCM 50t’s away to a new home (kept the Liberte’;) and brought home a shiny new STA-2 Black along with thanks to my brothers late birthday gift a smattering of war chests as I seem to do well enough on them. Which resulted in enough gold to buy a McDragon and still have plenty in reserve for when/if the Slayer comes back.

I also got the Strv 81 out of a chest along with a Matilda; which will likely sit untouched most of the time.

Really liking the Strv, STA and the McDragon though. All great tanks

Swapped the hateful ISU-130 for the Primo Victoria; having a decent Swedish premium will be useful.

Nice post SpP - and nice trades too!

Yesterday I got a Panther/M10 and a Mutant6 opening some warchests and I'm not really interested in them, I believe I could fetch something nice in return.

No draft picks, please - my team is not on rebuild mode yet :child:

Whoa hold on folks...

After the final day of trading SPP got wind of a new kid on the block....But he was at the salary cap & the team needed to rebuild for another 5years of fun...What to do after much hand wringing he decided break-up a duo...two American brothers M6A2E1 known lovingly as Mutant & Bog.

So, packing to the frigid city climate of Chicago the Mutant was sent for the Pudel &72,700 silver...
