Buy gold and buy the tanks you really want.

War Chests are a gamble. I've bought them twice and won multiple ones too, to date I have Never won a tank, nevermind the huge amount of gold that some players have claimed in these forums and I own a lot of Premiums.

If you want to gamble and possibly win No tanks but some gold and a rest of useless stuff then go for chests.

That is funny I didnt even think about that with the 75% discount on those bundles you can buy them then trade them in for a higher value then you paid for them.

It depends . if you are sitting on a ton of premium tanks grab the chests. I turned $100 in to 44 K gold that way.

Go for gold and wait for your desired tanks to be discounted, the only case when you can get better value with chests if you get a tank in the first few chests or got a tank what you alrady have so you get back gold. There is a simple math behind, there is a good post in this forum about it, even with 10+3 pack you have 75% chance to get a tank. I bought 14 (78% chance) and got no tank...

Actually you can't. When you buy a tank when it is on sale and then sell it later, it gets sold for the discounted price. Its the same reason you don't sell a tank in a line when their is an on-track event for that line as you'll see it at the discounted sale price even though you may have paid full price when you got it. Same goes when the tier X sale is on, don't sell a tier X or you'll get hosed big time.

I don't believe that's true.  Every premium tank has a gold value. And therefore when the trade program is active it doesn't matter what you paid for it its trade value is based on its gold value that you can see in the tankopedia.

not true. Your trade in value is always full value regardless of what you paid... Just as you always get full value gold refunds from owned tanks received from chests.

Actually the trade in program only gave you 50% of the value of the premium tank you traded in. Try selling a tier X once the tier X sale starts (don't actually go all the way through process unless you really want to) and you 'll see that the amount they'll give you is its regular tech tree price - the sale discount (30% for example) and then you'll see it knock another 50% off of that as you only get 1/2 the value for tech tree tanks sold.

Exactly do the math. Buy a premium tank at a 75% discount now "trade" it for 50% of its original price you are coming out 25% ahead.
