The British TDs are actually a really good, albeit somewhat monotonous, outside of the AT-8. Also, the Churchill Game Carrier is actually a great assault gun TD, especially since its armor buff.

I wanted to try it but I have the tank beyond it so I haven't had a good enough reason.

I found the Swedish TD line at mid tiers to be particularly nightmarish. Especially that Ikv 103 thing. Ugh.

I was in the same position when I decided to buy back the Churchill I to grind for it. The CGC is basically a Churchill VII, but faster with a much stronger gun and ten degrees of gun depression (at the cost of a turret and health obviously). It's now one of the few mid tier tech tree tanks in my garage.

Isnt the castmate for the gun like 20mm?

Compliments and Credit to STLxSTANG for the sig.

The 8.11 TD rebalances need to be implemented.

I liked the Sturer Emil, the gun was really solid and that's all i can ask for in a glass cannon.

I don't play anymore, just loiter around the forum from time to time.

It might have been at one point, but currently the entire front is 152mm thick and the entire side is 95mm thick with no weak points to speak of.

T95 American Tank Destroyer.

Absolute beast fully upgraded. Especially since the buff to make it go a whopping 20km/hr from it's original 10km/hr.

Stock or one package in though? Couldn't pay me to play it.

I wish the packages worked more like the PC version, where you don't have to buy a complete package, just upgrade modules individually. But I've never looked into whether they have it better or worse.

The 120mm gun is still really good on the tank though, which I believe is the second package.

It doesn't do the trick at Tier 9 though. Especially when you don't have the final engine and the thing almost falls backwards trying to go up hills

My 12 kill Kolobanov's medal in the T95 was only possible because of the faster ROF and better DPM of the 120mm gun, and it's basically just a better version of the T110E5's gun. Also, the tank is so slow that having a weaker engine isn't that big of a deal. I still think that the 155mm gun fits the tank better, but I really enjoyed playing the T95 as soon as I got past the 105mm gun package.

12 degrees gun depression, mobility, camo and a fat derp gun (HEAT only if I am not mistaken).

IS-M was awful for me, basically a tier VII taking on tier IX and X  with a few Tier VIII every battle. Sure it still does that but at least it can hurt things and cover up a bit and move a bit better.

Playing it safe

After 22 battles, my win rate in this pos is 25% wn8 is 127 or something close... I may have been tired as well in my last session, and played poorly, but I definitely need  muster up the courage to go through with the grind and keep my sanity.

I think the only other tank which gave me this feeling of utter uselesness was the DW2.

Look at the bright side, if you manage to stay sane long enough to finish the St. Emil grind you get a really good tier VIII and IX TD out of it.

St Emil was fine for me, after i got the big gun. The tier 9 is excellent in that line and still in my garage with the tier 10's.

The worst grind i've done was the British AT line, the worst tank in that line was the Tortoise.  I sold it the second i had the 470,000 XP on it for the tier 10's.

The Sturer Emil is fine with the top gun, you will get the 2 pens your need for fire for effect and it is a short grind. I really don't like the T28 and T95 grind because of the higher tiers.

It's a paper non-turreted TD semi-derp (no HE) gun with just about the slowest shell speed that has to be shot like a medieval arrow.

It's far from accurate. Either you're lucky and hit shots and actually pen or you're like me and every shot either fluffs, hits tracks for no damage or just don't pen at all due to angle.

With the map meta there's barely a hiding spot for the tank, even more so when it's untrained crew. I couldn't enjoy this tank one single bit.

On the other hand I liked the Sturer Emil quite a bit because it hits hard. You're a complete support tank and you can just mess up tanks with little effort.

Wat

The Ikv 103 was by far my favorite tier 5 tank I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing. It’s an absolute monster when top tier, and handles pretty well when bottom tier, except when it gets shot. It’s literally a faster less armored Hetzer at tier 5. The accuracy and shell velocity take some getting used to, but are still very much usable. Never had any issues with penetration except on bougars, KV-1s, Churchills, and AT-2s.

Wish I could say the same about the tier 6 though.
