I've run this contract through stage seven 6 times for the premium time, but time is running out.  Is the Stinger any good or should I let it go to farm the contract next time it comes up?  I already have the Spyglass as a tier 6 light merc that I really enjoy.  I can't find any decent reviews on the Stinger.

I'm not stealing kills, I'm handing out Confederate medals.

Ehh I’d like to tell you I know how it plays, but can’t really say. I did the contract when it first came out and have played maybe 4-5 battles in it so far. It’s kinda fallen to the wayside...I’ll eventually get to playing it.

From what I recall it’s a bit sluggish, but other than that it’s a decent tank. As you can tell it’s not one of those “must play” tanks for me ATM, I’d say don’t waste your time trying to grind last minute or waste gold on it.

Probably going to wrap up stage 7 tonight so should have all done in a few days. If no one gets anything up I'll try to add my 2 cents. I've heard the 'on the move' accuracy is better than the T37's, who's gun it uses, and a tank I really like. Looks great though, probably another tank I'll commit myself to just like the Jammer for the same reasons, which ended up being a real peach.

I played it once... and it seems great. Super agile. Has both great power/weight ratio and terrain resistances. Dunno how well it can carry with that gun, but I look forward to playing it more.

There is literally an Xbox 360 in a museum, and this is the best joke you can come up with?

Run octane and food, and it's great fun. I really like it and I'd say it's one of the few merc tanks that doesn't disappoint :)

Yeah, I'm not 100% on this gun. My one game was a High Caliber, though, so maybe it can work. :teethhappy:

It moves so nice that I suppose getting into spots to make the gun work isn't that difficult. I would recommend getting it, OP.

I guess the bigger question will be “will you play it?  Most of my Mercs collect dust.  The Stinger is easily my favorite Merc and most played (61 matches currently).    I’m far from the best light tanker, but love this tank.  Camo and mobility are solid.  Did well in the T37 (which Fozfactor mentioned the gun above), and doing far better in the Stinger.  Just under my 6th skill and also run it with Octane.  My only recommendation is to carry little more than a handful of APCR.  T VIIIs can be a pain.

I am not a massive fan of lights but I have the Spyglass and recently finished the Stinger contract and imo I think the Stinger is a much better tank. It feels much safer to be in as it bounced a lot more shots than I would expect the Spyglass to and the gun seemed to pen virtually everything I hit. May be just lucky games but I recommend you see the contract through if you like the Spyglass, you won’t be disappointed with the Stinger.

Got it mid-last week.  It's an evil little tank and in the games I've played so far, not been out the top 5 of the PBR.

Bit like the Snakebit but with a way more accurate gun.  I run it with High Octane and a 4 1/2 skill/perk crew (BIA, 6th, Recon, Camo and 50% Sit Aware).

I prefer active scouting but in one match had a pair of TDs (T25/1s?) pass just outside the 'auto-detect' circle whilst sat in bush without being spotted. Both paid for that 'mistake' (took out one during a CoD of both; the other tracked and knocked out by team-mates).

Pulling in spot assist of around 1k, with actual damage 500+ most games.

I love it - but no surprise given it's French heritage - I do like the French Lights.

Go for it - you wont be disappointed if you like such tanks.

Just unlocked and can tell I'm gonna have a rough time in this tank until my crew is decent. The awful first game did not set the right tone.

Instead of the usual BIA/6S/Repair combo, its going to have to be 6S/Camo/Clutch Braking for me, the tank turns almost as slowly as the Absolution. Then will do BIA and Repairs and maybe even Paratrooper, but I do want to retrain Ms. Chaos in Off-road at some point. Maybe I do so well in the T37 because the crew I use has over a dozen skills already. Tank looks great, but getting it to work well may take some tinkering.

Congrats on your first post - if not the content.  A few more games under your belt may persuade your otherwise.

One thing is I run the equipment to double the engine life, cyclone filter I believe. Every time I was getting shot it was a kill my engine shot. Since then I’ve been happy,. Also running vision and vert stabs.

Not a bad tank, just haven’t put the time into it yet

I reckon it's a pretty well rounded tank.. has reasonable mobility and a reliable gun.. just a nice tank to drive
