ill start by saying yes, I know this is an artillery thread, so those who are just gonna yell at me about playing arty in the first place, at least make your input amusing and colorful.

For the rest, I have a question or two. Is there a worse arty line than the British one? At what point do they reach over 500 meters? Or do any real damage. I’m at the fv304, I just his a tier 4 who somehow came within my limited range. Hit him dead on, and did 84 damage. I don’t know who decided what the specs for this line should be, but this is the exact opposite end of the spectrum as the absolution. I mean, does this line get any better or am I just praying every game that my team will get a w? I’ve gotten so many angry messages in game about not supporting the team, or arty hunting. Sorry guys, when I can see further than I can shoot, there’s only so much I can do.

Anyway...that was my daily vent, and such. Hope everyone is having better grinds than I am today.

The British arty line is one of the best. The crusader SP is a bit [edited]. But the rest of the line is golden.

The arc allows you to hit people behind cover.

But to answer your question, tier 7+ have 800m+ range and tier 8+ have good alpha damage with the Conqueror Gun carrier at tier 10 having the 2nd best alpha of any arty beaten only by the T92.

War is a Democracy and the enemy always gets a vote.

Thanks for the input Fox, I will alter my style with it and see if that helps. Also thanks for letting me know range will get a bit better, I think the [edited]range and blast radius should be info included in arty stats.

Bert (the FV304) is great. It takes some practice to find good spots... and for this particular arty, it is of paramount importance to get Sixth Sense. You have to get forward and you wanna know when you're spotted. I had an absolute blast playing Bert.

And, as Fox said, the Crusader SP is a bit poo. It's not horrible, but never drive forward. Learn how to drive in reverse.

They could bring the Aussie Yeramba in as a British Premium, say tier V?

The CGC is legendary mate. Best arty in the game by a wide margin. Just don't see much about it because the 53/55 is far more widespread. The CGC is the only tier 10 arty that can straight up carry a game

Compliments and Credit to STLxSTANG for the sig.

The 8.11 TD rebalances need to be implemented.

I tried to grind US arty line, but it's just so hard, so gave up.

From my experience of being on the receiving end, the British arty seem to always be the really accurate arty, and have the short reload to go with it.

Agree that CGC is legendary....... not many others out there that can regularly splash 1/4 of the OpFor in a single volley while scoring 3500 damage or more.  But I will argue the Object 261 is more than capable of carrying a team with its best-in-class accuracy and a consistent AP round.

UK artillery is a diverse bunch for sure.  Bert is worth the grind to it because it’s absolutely nothing like anything else you’ll play.  I did well from there up and only hated the stock part of that grind.

I asked an EOD man how he dealt with the stress of his job.

He said he didn’t have any stress. Either he was right or else it became someone else’s problem.

The CGC is great, but I'd argue that the BC 155 58 is still better (especially considering all of the nerfs the CGC has received). I mean, having a full turret, medium tank speed/mobility, and a four round autoloader gives the 58 that extra flexibility and consistency, plus it's always hilarious to hit an enemy tank four times in a row for about 1600-1800 splash damage while keeping him tracked.

I actually disagree.

Potentially the bc-155-58 can carry hard depending on map and team

I actually like the t92 firing prem over the same cgc.

The 261 has great potential due to its rate of fire and overall balance.

The only tier 10 Arty I don't have it the gwe. So I won't comment.

Only tech tree arty that I fear is FV304, if player knows what to do it makes life of receiving end pure hell. There is no escape, its like you would be under constant mortar fire.
