I know, this is Arty; nevertheless, under the "general discussion" topic, someone recently asked for advice about the best Arty line to grind;

I think US was the nation with the plebiscite.

Anyway, enjoy that video, because I think it is absolutely sensational...

yeah, they had to remove that noise... arty could suicide without water.

As for the match... I liked it. It was a slow build, but I liked where it went.

One of the uptake is, how much power team play can bring!

The light tank work to enable his Arty's side winger to score damage is what won the battle. Obviously the last stand battle did too.

He played well - 2 things to note - he moved and paid attention to the map meaning he didn't get iced in the first minute or so. The second is that he aimed at a piece of ground just before firing so they weren't "spotted", that is good play.

The IS7 and Jageroo on their team were useless. I don't know why their K91 didn't move up way sooner either.

Those 3 lost that game for them.

@Orbtastic1;

I am always in awe when the actual players has a live reading of the battle, and act accordingly. This is what I am missing. I always understand what I should have done after the battle has completed. Never during the actual action.

L'esprit de l'escalier ! Just in WOT.

I think it's human nature, to a degree. I sometimes frustrate myself going over something I did badly but it's like when you have a car crash or accident, you try and rationalise it "if only".

I had a game last week in my Lycan, the team were useless, absolutely useless. It was a combination of poor decisions and poor play and the opposite on the other team. I managed to pull it back from a 7-3 to a 1 on 1 and was literally one shell away from getting the final kill when I sat still too long. I'm sure the six tanks I'd killed before that were all GGing each other but I could have won that game. Then again, I could equally have lost it by doing something different that I think may have worked.

I'm still haunted by a couple of games in my BatChat that would have been highlight video worthy but just played badly, or did what I thought was the right thing at the right time. I had a similar experience to the arty there although I was double digit health and trying to kill 3 arty at once and then had to go for the reload. I was trying my hardest not to bump the arty but also trying to get behind him and his gun arc and had a team mate screaming in my ear and fluffed it. He was like why didn't you ram him? Cos I'd die?

I know what you mean;

I have watched numerous videos on YT, which obviously have been posted because they are good, and I expect that like anybody else, those players have bad moments too.

This is why I favor streams, since they are open books on one's player' real skills.

Back to "if I only had" statement, I am never bothered by that. I try to base my judgement on logic and rationale. If it goes well, fine. If it does not, then I analyze the root cause of the failure, and I change the way I do it the next time.

I do better every time I listen to myself, instead of letting euphoria take over.
