E100

My first heavy line I played and I enjoyed it. I got the through the Panther. Tiger 2 was a nice tank. Haven't played it for over 2 years since its been buffed now but it was good when I played it. Same goes for the E75 played it before the buffs. Strong tank one of the best tier 9 heavies. As for the E100 is the definition of a heavy tank. One of the best tier 10s although not played well by the majority of players it can wreck things

Maus

Tiger P was a nice tank for me. Bit slow but it was fine. Most trollest armour on a tier 7 tank along with the Black Prince. Some games you can bounce 9s all day and others you'll get penned by tier 6s. The Vk 100 01 was alright. Slow but decent armour (blocked 10k in one battle which is my most for any tier 8) gun is good for alpha just long reload. I enjoyed the Mauschen for the most part although you get circled by pretty much everything and there's nothing you can do about it because it's one of the slowest tanks to turn. The gun was great. Pretty accurate for most my games. The Maus itself is amazing and the most fun heavy to play. Every game I get Malinovka with it I just go field and block everything. It can also scout well with the right equipment. Have an 8k assist game in it

Type 5 Heavy

The worst line of the 3 for me. Possibly one of the worst lines in the game. OI was the best one and that's only the tier 6. Seems like the line gets worse as you go up. The O Ni was nice especially when top tier you'll one shot half the tanks you see. Virtually no gun depression looking forward same as O Ho. The O Ho was okay you have to get used to using the gun depression at times. I switched between the big gun and small gun regularly. Usually big gun for platoons and small gun for when you play solo. I remember one game I had 3 60TPs in a platoon in front of me firing heat that shot at me 6 times total and I bounced every shot which was pretty fun. Type 4. Worst. Tank. I've. Ever. Played. Period. Its definitely the worst tier 9 heavy. Inaccurate. Extremely slow. Slow turning. Armour is nothing against equal and higher tier opponents. Certainly wasn't a fun grind.

As for the Type 5 I haven't bought it yet just unlocked

Imo, the E75 is better than the conqueror.

The E75 is an all rounder with very good Armour, decent mobility and acceptable gun.

The conqueror is largely a 1 trick pony, a hull  ridge fighter that has a very good gun.

Oh yeah I completely agree. E-75 is far more fun to plat too. But statiscally, the Conquerer has the highest average winrate and highest average damage of all tier IX heavies, over the last 30 days across the Xbox server. That's the reason I added that.

I just sold my type 4 immediately once I researched the 5.

But I do have to say that it's kinda fun and comforting to be able to derp someone for 350-400 in the face with some reliability.

Except for the sloooow speed and super long reload and arty hate. So it's like a love hate thing.

Japanese heavy line is most fun tier 7 and 8. After that it’s pretty terrible. I thought Type 4 was crap, and Type 5 is not better.

1. Armor is penned pretty easily
2. Very slow
3. Slow to reload, and inaccurate

If WG were to pick any one of the items above and buff it, the tank would be transformed significantly. Otherwise it doesn’t really make sense to willingly play a tank that has all 3 downsides, where you have alternatives that are clearly superior in at least one respect, but often in all of them at the same time (705 and 705a)

If I were to give advise, dimplest buff would be to speed - make it go at 30 kph instead of 20 currently and see how it does. This won’t make it OP, but will alleviate some of the misery.

Also, one game I was in my e100 and going up against two type 5s platooned together.

After a few heat shells through their faces they backed off and I knew right away the type 5 wasn't competitive at all.

The Type 5 is actually quite a bit better than the tier IX since it has a much better ROF, significantly stronger armor (with the hull "cheeks" no longer being an easy pen weak point), and with 800 more health you can take much more of a beating while hitting enemies more in return.

Pretty much, although the E100 does have incredible armor as well (better than the Type 5's armor but worse than the Maus). Its turret when angled well is about 340-350mm of effective armor everywhere except the bar on top, for example.

How would I angle it well? From my experience fighting them the armour seemed to suck

You generally want to have the turret angled at about 35-40 degrees towards the enemy (or right around that angle) whenever you're not loaded and/or an enemy is aiming at you. If you aim the gun directly at an enemy in the E100 you only have about 270-280mm if effective armor, but if you angle it it's not hard to increase its effective armor to 330mm effective or more (which is enough to bounce almost every premium round at least half of the time).

I know its not on your list but I really enjoy the Pz VII. Yes its the ugly duckling of the German super heavies and the grind is somewhat erratic going from the pseudo medium VK 45.01a to the sluggish and sadly nerfed VK B but I find it thoroughly enjoyable to play. Mobile enough to be better than a Maus but with good frontal armor and a 12.8 that actually works in more situations than the Maus'

It sucks when not played correctly, I sold mine because I hated it so much coming after the amazing E75. When I bought it back after I had learned some things it was a much better and more enjoyable tank. Just the simple tip that Fusion gave to angle your turret when not firing helps immensly(no need to stare at people and give them prime shots at you while reloading), try to bait people into shooting at an angled turret and then punish them, also cover the lower plate.

Damn the torpedoes.........full speed ahead!

I agree with pretty much everyone.  E100 is a beast when played correctly.  Type 5 is garbage and needs the game to last 12-14 minutes for you to do any serious damage with its extremely slow speed and abysmally low DPM due to continuous 200-230 hits with HE that takes forever to reload.  Remember, there are almost no soft targets in tiers 9 & 10, so your HE is basically low-rolling everyone unless you get extremely lucky.  Or you flank them (lol) with your Type 5 Heavy to get a high roll from behind.

I find that the Type 5 usually hits for around 400-600 damage against most tanks. If they do have armor you can just shoot their turret front close to the bottom to splash against their hull's roof or you can shoot under their tank to likely track them at the same time.
