Just wondering why the clan dissolved.

No bait, just asking.

Desertstorm (the guy in charge) misclicked when he went to leave to help another clan out in clan wars, and accidentally disbanded them.

The guy with the rights to the clan tag (i.e. the original creator) Raynius Maximus, stopped playing WoT, so they'd need him to reform it.

Thanks, that sucks.

Nice to see they have already reformed, to some extent :)

They ended up losing all of their territory because of it, so yeah, it really does.  They were one of the oldest well-known clans too.

I hope N00bs doesn't accidentally hit disband, we're one of the oldest well known joke clans. :D

They are a bunch of renegades and hacks. I myself would never affiliate with such a Motley Crue.

Awe man, they already put my new clan tag up. They are the best guys ever. A clan that represents the gaming community and WOT in the best possible way.

He must have been in a haze, because it is kind of very difficult to click on that big orange square that says "disband" by mistake...

He might have misunderstood that "Disband" meant the entire Clan, and not only him? seems far fetched.

The other button is "Leave"; it seemed more appropriate, but if you are the commander and you click "Leave", it may disband the Clan?

Does anyone know?

I don't want to try, because I am single in my Clan, so if I click "leave" it is a disband equivalent.

When it happened, it WAS at 12-1 o'clock at night, so maaaaaaybe there was a little alcomahols being consumed...

The world may never know...

Also, no, leaving as the leader doesn't disband, the XO position just goes to one of the other officers.  If he did it on his phone, mistapping could easily have happened.

At least there’s still such thing as the IMLTS clan which has only one member.

So you keep the rights to the clan name even if you quit the clan?  That seems odd.

They're a good bunch of guys and I shudder when I see them on the other team because I know a 5man platoon is going to be a sound beating for my team

Well, setting a Clan up is not free of charge; you need to cough up 850 G's. Seems to me right that who paid keeps the privileges...

Dez was tired, he's been doing loads for us, and simply made a mistake.

We are working with WOTC to get it sorted, but fear not LOL, while the tag is temporarily gone the clan is not.

We have, however, put Dez's thumbs in a Chinese thumb-cuffs to prevent any further accidents. Please understand, it's for his safety and our own.

But that could eat up a lot of clan tags for folks that don't even play the game anymore.  And if someone disbands their clan, in effect they're giving up the 850 g they paid.  I could see a grace period for mistakes like this.  But it seems to me if you disband your clan, it should be up for grabs.

Seems a bit odd that it would be that easy to completely disband a clan.  They have failsafes for buying packages and selling tanks, and those only affect yourself.

I asked an EOD man how he dealt with the stress of his job.

He said he didn’t have any stress. Either he was right or else it became someone else’s problem.
