I shudder when I see the reds with a platoon of Togs.

I get excited when I see a lonely red Tog and think of all the damage and xp the green team is going to get.

Read this first.   It may help you decide.  TOG has a unique play style.  It isn’t for everyone.

Hi all, I know pepes might have of posed similar a question before but I'm just curious for my own ends. I know about the Tog, its strengths and weaknesses, etc. Question is do I drop 3500 on it or should i save up for something more useful?

I wouldn't spank 30 pounds/dollars on one tank, I'm reasonably frugal compared to some. I mostly just buy premium time or the odd crate here or there. I've got a large roster of lower premiums and a few higher, I do love playing pref mm tanks (who doesn't?).

Plus you don't really see them around anymore,  have players grown tired of them? Would love to see more Tog platoons, only ever witnessed them on occasion sadly.

as lots of people have said, the Tog on its own is shite! That is all. The derp throwers have made sure of that (O-I especially). Haven’t really played it since all of my mates left the game.

In a platoon of two or more however it totally comes into its own. The combined DPM and massive health pool makes it fun and you can rofflestomp your way across the maps lol.

So in conclusion:

Have mates who play tanks - Tog

no mates - no tog

Every time we see a TOG on the red team, our entire platoon simply says "Cash Machine", meaning we're going to try to continually hit that thing until it is destroyed, gaining as much damage points as possible. Rarely if ever do we ever see them doing well. They're almost always one of the last tanks on the field since they were not part of the main battles. So if you like being the last guy dead, but not having a lot to show for it, get the TOG.

I love this attitude. Everyone underestimates the lone TOG until I have 1300-2000 damage and like 4-6 kills.

I'm of the opposite opinion.  I actually start to lick my lips when I see a group of TOGs, especially if I'm in something like a 34-88. Most groups of TOGs that I see or have played in are too busy laughing and joking around to play well.  I started going the opposite way as my teammates when in TOG platoons so I can use them as bait.

love the TOG, that being said, it is an acquired taste.  If you don't have a lot of premiums, I wouldn't recommend it.  You can also almost drive it down a vertical cliff, it will not speed up going downhill.  You will almost always get $30k+ if you have a premium account.  TOG, TOG, TOG, a very good battle cry.

Can you still get a green light tank on top of it on Highway?
