A bit heavy-handed, no? Delete the contents of the offending post, lock the thread, put up a warning, etc - you have a lot of effective options at your disposal.

I wanted to know what people thought of my proposal to change characteristics of premium ammo instead of the costs, which are not really working - some combination of velocity, accuracy, damage, reload.

Like literally, I am reposting what I posted in the other thread - because I have no way of knowing whether it was my post that caused the other thread being deleted or not....

Because deleting the thread and banning the op is easier I guess.

Might I suggest that overt moderation is used instead of covert moderation because that serves a purpose of reinforcing policy and doesn't leave people wondering. Leave the topic subject, delete all threads if you must but please leave reason why the topic is closed.

Also, if the Topic is not against the rules but several responses are, please don't remove the entire thread. Just the objectionable responses. I know it's more time consuming. But the stuff that doesn't break the rules has value to those who have contributed in a non rule breaking way and in my opinion that should be the objective of moderation.

Let the record show that I categorically deny questioning anyone.

Unofficially, I wonder about the English language when  Severe and Moderate are no where near similar in meaning yet severing something  is defined as moderation which sort of breaks down to performing a moderate action. . Except with definition 2.  That was the definition Max was using and the sycophantic side of me agrees 101%.

MODERATION (noun)
The noun MODERATION has 4 senses:

1. quality of being moderate and avoiding extremes
2. a change for the better
3. the trait of avoiding excesses
4. the action of lessening in severity or intensity
