I get that it was bit unbalanced for one spawn

but I miss this map at tier 10

in the first few years of the game, getting to the hill and dominating was an integral part of wot

bread and butter of the wot experience

plenty of other maps that don't work for one reason are another but are still in play

Mines used to be guaranteed action at tier 10

Ensk is kinda stupid at tier 10 as is Tundra

personally I think it's needed/missed

it was just a staple on WOT

just my opinion

Any map that allows immediate spotting when the game starts is too small for top tiers.  Make them bigger first, then I will agree.
I'm just saying.....

Well in a way if you compare it with maps seeing tier X, it could get away with it, because we do have stupid Ensk at tier X or Tundra as you say. Everyone and their neighbours grandma is spotted within 30 sec. Next thing we need is Province at tier X.

I agree, Mines was fine at tier X. I miss it too, since I've played mostly tiers 7-10 for past 3-4 months it's been really long time since I was able to play Mines :(

No thank you, it can stay out of her X.

The games were pretty boring. Get hill, win game. So much tactical variation.

If they rebuild the map to better allow for dynamic gameplay, and make it a tad larger, then I'd welcome it back to tier X matches.

You can PM with with questions, if you wish. I don't bite.

I love when the counter goes off to start the match and I'm detected in my T57 before I've moved and my 1st shell is even loaded. The map is too small and 1-dimensional for tier 10, imo. I like it a lot at low tier though.

Komarin doesn't work at high tiers, it was nightmare at tiers 8-10. Widepark would be... interesting to play at tier X, I've only managed to play few games in tiers 8-9 back in the day when I wasn't tier restricted.

Move the spawns a bit west, maybe add 50m of otherwise empty map space on the north/south ends and unplayable space to the east/west as the worst case scenario for changes.

I'm not getting the dislike for hard-cover.

Some people claim Ensk should be tier restricted.   I don't believe their lies.

Imagine if this forum had only players who actually win more than lose trying to tell others how to play. Would be the best forum ever. Instead, we have a bunch of bad advice from players who lose more often than not trying to tell their betters how to play their tanks.

That is just a terrible idea.

Ensk and Tundra need the same tier restrictions as well. They're too dang small for the speed and spotting range of high tier tanks. Some tanks with 2-5 camo rating are darn near spotted almost as soon as the game starts.

I wish Mines was available to tier Xs again as well. I had actually put a thread up a while ago with the idea of making an extreme weather variant for the map and making that available for tier X games, as it would keep people from being instantly spotted while still leaving many parts of the map mostly unaffected.

Mines was heavily biased towards one spawn in multiple ways.  One spawn has multiple locations for arty to fire FROM cover, one spawn has a single spot which is easily counter battery.  One team had a direct line of sight at opposing tanks as they climb the hill, the other team had NO line of sight.  One team had a town to play with, the other team not so much.  Removing that crap factory from tier X was without question one of the best decisions from WG in the past year.  And just because there are still some crap factory maps  at tier X doesn't mean that we shouldn't remove some others.

I have noticed that Komarin is showing up more often in recent weeks.  Had to carry my failing greenies in my scorpion last night, 5 kills and 3500 damage.  Solo'd a thunderbolt point blank outbrawled him.  Guy wasn't smart enough to just run me over.

I can agree with this in only one way.  The extreme weather variant should just be rain.  No real visible visual effect.  The extreme weather maps are ugly and painful on the eyes.  Call it fog or downpour or something but don't give us an ugly visual effect.

They should make some tier X variants of the maps by enlarging their dimensions  rather than anything else.

There are a few maps in particular that even in their current state would be fun in >8's, but they would probably benefit from being extended and widened while leaving most of the obstacles as is.

Komarin with some additional ridges and hilly rolls would be ace.

Adding another 50-100 all the way around the perimeter of Komarin would help it greatly.  The previous remaking of the map helped, those that played the original with its uncrossable water will know what I mean.

I have always thought a larger province would be good fun.  I would love to actually brawl in the castle that is in the corner of the map.  I have only driven a tank up their once.  I think I will run my pak40 tonight after WoWs just to see if I can get province.  400 meters view range at tier 3 is so silly.

If you miss the map maybe try playing a different tier?

Mines is too small for tier 10. It just turns into team with more high tier mediums wins.

The Warstory map could be an option.

Because there are way more area's to go hull-down or side-scrape from or use to flank etc.

Because of some extra placing of rocks and dead tanks.

So maybe with a little more tweeking you could kinda create a corridor setting.

But in the end it will be a map where camo has not much use, but so is Himmelsdorf right ?

If they make the map larger then sure. Otherwise no.

I asked an EOD man how he dealt with the stress of his job.

He said he didn’t have any stress. Either he was right or else it became someone else’s problem.
