It's all recent data, the last 3 months to be exact.

What are your thoughts on the better portion of the player base who drastically over-performs in such vehicles as the Tiger 131?  Hell if you ask around you can easily find people with damage averages over 2.9k.  Those kind of people are more in line with exclaiming that such vehicles are overpowered and would require some nerfs.

"I will rain death upon all who oppose me. I am the embodiment of sky cancer and I will make you rue the day you dare cross into my view and sit thy tank still. Some call me arty scum, but they are fools! I am become sky cancer the destroyer of balance and even if you close in to close range I will call upon the gods of rng and shotgun you into condemnation for no one will associate with a tanker who cannot take out an artillery."  -Unholy Lucipurr 2017 (dictated but not read)

Doesn’t surprise me. Data shows things like the Deathstar are balanced or even in need of buffs somehow. :sceptic:

I am impressed that the Absolution is still somehow overperforming. I know it’s a stupidly OP tank but I thought the fact that basically everyone playing got one for free would balance out the good games with potato games.

I asked an EOD man how he dealt with the stress of his job.

He said he didn’t have any stress. Either he was right or else it became someone else’s problem.

I would remove the spaced armour on the side then it's like the Panther M10, a bouncy front but weak sides and rear.

Actually, in the tradition of the other mercenaries, they should double the side plating and remove the front plating.

I'm all for a mobility nerf on the absolution.  Give it the Reach's reverse speed and then add some crappy turning and ground resistance.  At least if I can't out gun it, let me out run it.

IMO, Here's 3 ways to neuter the Absolution.  Choose any 2 and it should be about right.

Mobility - It's already sluggish except for top speed, so reduce that top speed from the current 48kph down to 42kph.

Firepower - The firepower is every bit as good as the VK 36, so given that it is a tougher nut it would make sense to increase the reload from the current 4.2 seconds to 4.4 seconds.  That's enough to notice, but not too drastic.

Armor - It's the I beams that are really the issue.  I believe they are currently 38mm thick (1.5 inch).  Halving that to 19mm (3/4 inch) would make a noticeable difference in ability to penetrate those spots on the side while still leaving them quite tough.

But they just fixed the absolution dominance by giving everyone a FUbolt.

You will now need to wait another 2 months. B4 anything is done.

What ever happened to the games morals

A premium tank should never be better than its tech tree counterpart.

Shame, these tanks just spoil the battle . Now the new players base

get slaughtered by 2 op tanks they cant even hurt.

Looks at own 131 stats, 66% win rate, and I'm just a standard uni not a super.. Hmmm...

Any blue to super uni's here have a 131 with an average win rate?

Fair enough. I hadn't checked my teir 7 heavies in a while and thought my 131 was doing well. Turns out that when comparing it to the others and not just my overall win rate, not so much. I'll have to sort that.

Have you been living in cave ? :)

Absolution have increased plating on the sides compared to it's front and terrible backward speed alongside with terrible turning and ground resistance since day one.

The only thing that make this tank good is the fact that Spaced armour placed exactly at the places beeing aimed by "Autoaim" function making this tank survive against not very skilled players. Most players doesnt even bother to aim at it's Turret which is probably are the weakest spot of Absolution and it's HUGE and hard to miss. It doesnt even have gun mantlet which could bounce anything and Turret roof are so weak and have such a bad angles it beeing penetrated by literaly anything. Doesnt even need 3x overrride factor for that.

Other then that it's not very good at anything. Beeing a so called heavy tank it doesnt even have any armour to speak of and it's health pool are below average compared to other fully upgraded heavies of the same tier.

Chart clearly say that tank are not so overpowered. Else better players would had better w/r with it, but we can see that evey1 (even 45% players) perform somewhat equaly driving this tank. Yes, better then their normal w/r but still difference betwin players regular w/r and Absolution w/r are somehwat the same among all the players. Even the fact that Absolution have outrageous Prem Ammo penetration for it's tier doesnt help 55-60% w/r people to perform better then their 45% counterparts.

If there anything that should be done to Absolution is a removal of it's Side spaced armour. But i am afraid this slight change will make this tank from great into turd in a blink of an eye. And if this going to be done same must happen to some other redicilous things like Trinity and Minuteman.

Hell, WG should actually stop with that Spaced armour hustle on literaly every "unique" tank they make because it's powercreeping HE and HEAT shells and this making alot of tanks (for example almost all of the soviet tanks) pretty weak and worthless when they fight such opponents.

Basicaly it is just plain stupid asking to nerf the perfectly balanced tank which only have "Autoaim proof" armour as it's strong side just because you dont bother to "Aim" before shoot.

I wonder if the easiest and safest way to nerf the Absolution would simply be to give it Lycan-Type MM.

I think changing the tank MM and/or its MM weight is the way to go. Recently I found out the Pzr V/IV has the same HH weight of a Tier VI heavy, so I think it would be more appropriate to give it negative PMM like the Lycan and the Snakebite, and leave the tank alone.

Aside from win rate vs tier 7 class average being a dubious measure, we're not really given any insight into what that data consists of, how many games played etc, are these rolling win rates, recents, overalls.

Combined damage or genuine base XP earning, would be much more useful.

But frankly I simply don't believe that Tiger 132(sic) under-performs against tier 7 averages, given it's never stock and never sees tier IX.

It literally makes no sense, which, as someone who works with data analytics every day, suggests to me that either the data gathered is wrong or the questions being asked of the data are wrong.

For the record I'm a 56% player who managed 64% on the 132(sic).

I've also managed 71% on the V\IV, but then, you know, 7 games in total, of which at least 5 were 5 man pz V\IV FILTH toons.

We called ourselves that for a reason ;)

I've 80% on the Absolution, all solo, probably top tier once. Horribly OP, but then, you know, 10 games, hard to draw any conclusions from that*.

Which is basically my point about those graphs.

They certainly don't make me think "nothing to see here, everything's fine", although it's nice to have iffy data sate my confirmation bias on the OPness of the Absolution.

*to illustrate i perform better, damage, spotting and kills wise in my citadel, thus far over 26 games, and I've a 46% win rate in that, clearly needs buff :D

My record is 58% overall.

Pz. V/IV = 69%

Tiger 131 = 68%
Absolution = 50% (but only 16 battles)

I guess I'm anti-trend.

I would be curious to see the data for the Thunderbolt.  They do seem solid.

They do, I've only 50% in it, but then I've only 2 games, one of which i had to abandon 20 seconds in because of grazed child knee.

Why double the side plating? at one point i bounced 122 mm STG shell on the side of the Absolution because of that plate (I did autoaim though), To pen it as it is you need to aim for the tracks and not the Hull. That's what makes it more OP than the V/IV, the V/IV can be penned from the side.

My overall win rate is 54.8%

Rampanzer       7 games      57.17%

Tiger 131         36 games      61.11%

Abomination      2 games      100% LOL

Just for reference:

Hammer           66 games       65.0%

T-34 85M           12 games       66%

Minuteman       16 games       68.75%

T34                 230 games       61.74%

The Abomination is difficult to kill but not impossible. People just auto aim at it....course you're gonna get killed by them. The Rampanzer is just dirty....should be tier 6

Pz. V/IV - How does this underperform for low skill players?  Is it that they are unaware of their health pool and simply get farmed?  How is it that the high skill players are pretty much right on expected win rate?  Is it because they play overly aggressive, knowing how powerful the tank really is, thus squandering their advantage for a barrel of laughs?

There's some other way to play this tank?????:sceptic:

If you consider the 131 has preferrentual mm you would think it would have considerably better win rate versus other VII that have to face XI.. Yet by those graphs dont suggest that.

I wonder if all the recent sales that feature this tank have added alot more 'new' players to the last 3 months statistics

The rampanzer is OP as hell in the right hands. A potato will have above average games in one amd not massively affect the outcome of a game. That is because a bad player will abuse its health pool by sitting out in open and trade shots. That is why it seems balanced.

However, if you put three blueberries / uni in a platoon with rampanzer who know when to push , angle and flank before abusing its health pool then it's just straight up broken.

It's broken because they have the health pool and the ROF / damage output to wolfpack tier 7s and still keep going onto the next victim.

I think my platoons record is 14 kills in one game which is ridiculous. Another quick example I average 0.86 kills per game but in rampanzer it increases to 1.55 kills, normal w/r is 55% but in this tank it's 64% and my wn8 is 1602 but in this tank it's super uni at 2916

Only reason I dont play it anymore is because I can't stand tier 5,6,7 games.
