I'm getting spots after destruction now that I never would have received in the past.

Do we all have the "call for vengeance" perk now? bug? Did I miss something in the patch notes?

When a person resorts to attacking the other person rather than focusing on the issue (aka argumentum ad hominem), it becomes pretty clear they have nothing else to contribute and are wrong.

It was announced as a fix a week ago or so.  Not sure what impact this has on the call for vengeance perk as I have never trained it.  Assume it still adds to spotting time after death.....
When a man with a .45 meets a man with a rifle, you said, the man with a pistol's a dead man. Let's see if that's true. Go ahead, load up and shoot.

I did not pay particular attention to it at the time but it was in something like the update notes for the server reset.  Perhaps this Tuesday or the one last week.  Pretty sure it was in those notes.  It mentioned that we would be getting spotting damage after destruction for a period of time.

Yes. It was announced somewhere (in the news I think) that if you’re in spotting position - you’ll continue to get spotting damage points for few seconds (can’t recall how many) after you die.

This was allready the case, but before they would not pop up on screen, but you could see in the afthermatch result that you had more dmg than noted when you died.

You always receive spotting assist after death on enemies you were the spotter for, the ribbons just weren't being awarded after death. In 4.9 we improved it so that you would so players knew they were getting credited for their actions. Call for vengeance just increases the time that you continue to pass on the locations.

Ribbons now continue to be awarded even after death to reflect the XP earned from assist damage.

This^^

The only change is that the damage shows up in your totals before the game ends.
