Wow, it is very campy compared to the na server.

It's quite shocking how people just sit around the base waiting for something to happen and develop.

I'm being nice.

I've had to get used to it over the last 12hrs.

This isn't a judgement, just a general observation.

Thoughts?

I think both servers are the same.

Except on NA you can tell if they are going to camp in base because they have BR in their gamertag somewhere

Used to play the Eu server, but hardly ever nowadays. It gets frustrating when most of the players camp, and if they have a PL somewhere in their gamertag, you know you'll be in for a bad match- kill-steals, bad fire discipline and constantly getting in the way/pushing you out of cover to get shots, and to add insult to injury, you usually get roflstomped by well-co-ordinated Russian players on the red team. I can deal with slow, methodical, premium-spamming Japanese players...

I agree with you. EU is a bit more campy. Quality wise they’re both as bad.

In contrast, on NA you get the big mic loud mouths. The ones on mic talking non sense, getting killed within the first few minutes, then bashing the team they got killed lol.

Some might say i'm not constructive enough... Too bad i'm actually a deconstructivist

EU I quit a long time ago. It was just agonising to play with players who didn't even move to defensible locations, but just sat in the open or hid behind rocks until someone rushed them.

US in comparison is YOLO central but at least people try to take up positions.

The servers aren't any different. The only thing the US server has over EU is a higher chance of in game voice communication as everyone mostly speaks English.

Agree.  See my other post about the message I got from someone over there - they couldn't understand why, after seeing me in multiple games, I was moving more than a few grids away from the spawn.

I just don't get it.  But, now it makes sense, to a degree, why I will see some GTs that are likely not English-first language generated on the NA server late at night sitting around the base and doing literally nothing the entire game.

I remember the NA West days.  There was a blend of NA East and EU activity - seemed much more passive, but not quite to the level of campiness as witnessed on EU server.

NA = CAMP

EU = YOLO

Rather play the server where tanks are still alive rather than fight with 11 allies dead before the timer hits 3 mins into the match personally.

No, there really is a difference.

It's not every match, it's not every player, but there is a tangible difference.

It's because there is 5-8 hour difference between EU vs US and different player groups are active in different time of day.

I have played all the time zones over the last 3 years, from the kids off school to the drunken alcoholics on a Friday night. Sometimes they're the same people.

It's like at Christmas when the general IQ drops.

The difference is quite marked. EU is a lot more defensive/reactive while NA is more offensive/active. We need a server that combines the two.

I asked an EOD man how he dealt with the stress of his job.

He said he didn’t have any stress. Either he was right or else it became someone else’s problem.

I have to agree with you OP, campy is a pretty good word for it.  Been playing on the EU server alot since the NA server has been hiccuping lately.  The gameplay is more "pitch a tent and see who comes over" than the NA server.  You can't get much support, either, when you press forward.  It isn't as big a deal if you're top tier, but when you're bottom tier and have to depend more on your teammates, there's not much you can do but sit back and wait.

Big time

I'm in UK but much prefer NA.

Yes language can help, sometimes too noisy but generally I find the standard of play is better. If I move my tank to the part of the map its supposed to in other tanks of my class will also be en route.

Very often not the case on Euro. Thats why recent NA lag hurts everyone!

It's like trading lung cancer for heart disease. Both choices suck and they will probably get you killed either way.

It is all academical.

I play the EUR server in the morning because there are a lot more players in the queue, so you get into battle quicker. Mostly Russians at the beginning, and once the Europeans get home from work, they get into it. When it gets early in the morning in EUR, they switch to the US server.

And a lot of EUR players have the same feeling about the US server than expressed by the OP.

Bad teams are in the same battle. Good teams work together! don't complain, contribute.

EU dont have lft thumbs sticks.

Took toggy out, That would surely curb my enthusiam to leave spawn. Nope

Sadly tog was forced to slowly march,  far toggy did march, far across the fields

Not a soul did toggy see until i found their scout

WillingCoarseBactrian-size_restricted.gi

spawn camping is a legitimate tactic.

I play EU mostly but switch to NA in the mornings, can't say there's that much of a difference, pace is maybe a gear higher on NA but other than that i've seen all kinds on both.
