They're sailing straight for cap right at the start in Standard in WoW.  Its even a much worse strat tjan oi WoT. And of course  in Battleships

If it’s anything like pc, capping is a very important part of that game. It’s a completely different mechanic than we have here.

I’ve adopted my WOTC strategy to WOWS:L and it goes like this:

No kill. Cap all. :B

A large portion of the player base will be the same [edited]that play tanks. Its not a surprise that they try the same stupid approach.

Really impressed you get purple damage with all that capping you do. :teethhappy:

Apparently the devs didn't want battleships lurking around the edge of the maps so everyone spawns on top of each other and frenzied knife fights break out within seconds of the round starting - Safest policy is to lemming train with your fellow captains and hope you can outlast the red team.

Does WOW have a Lakeville map? How will they get their ships into the valley?

Caps work much differently in WoWS:L. Most maps will have multiple cap zones that provide points to your team. Basically a domination-type game mode. Going for the caps is a very good thing in WoWS:L.

Hmmm...half the time I am steaming around not paying attention to the "cap".  Most of my team are sailing around the extreme edges of the map.  Maybe I should progress past tier 2.

You can tell who here knows how world of warships is played in pc. Capping is much more important in world of warships and sometimes mandatory in order to win. Having a no cap kill all mentality is just as bad as people here treat early capping in tanks. No cap kill all players can easily cause a win to become a loss through sheer stubbornness

Y do i keep jumping to a view where i cant fire , i think it something to do with clickn left thumb stick.????

Left bumper on Xbox will jump you to the "overview" cam. It locks the turrets so you can look around without losing your aim. Same as the turret lock button does in tanks, except in ships it zooms you out a bit.

And I've won by capture a few times. Usually when all the BBs sit outside of the caps and hurl shells at each other from across the map.

  XBOX ONE

Garage has too many tanks to list now...

I've played warships for a total of 2 days.  Capping wins ALOT of games.  You can hit people from 1 flag to another on domination mode, and 9 players each team means sneaking around is easy.

View range works differently as well.  In short, nothing in your OP even translates to this game.  Enjoy a steep learning curve or get rid of your tanks philosophy, that will get you harbored.

At least on PC having the entire team deploy to a cap is as useless as it is in tanks. That's probably what the OP was describing. You don't need half your team to pull one cap, especially if they feel the uncontrollable need to sit still in the open to do it.

I'm ofc going off PC. I won't be playing legends as the removal of tiers and players made me nope right out of that game.

MOEs so I can pretend like they matter

Really? Last I saw was cruisers dogfighting at point blank range.

Shame that, and some of the accents I heard was the only real entertainment I got from that game.

Shush you! That’s common sense and we’ll have none of that here! (But yeah..... WoWs in general doesn’t frown upon capping.  Hell, it’s actually encouraged because everyone wants to WIN!!)

If the OP thinks rushing cap in WoWSL is “bad” just wait until some cheeky bugger runs and hides when he has a points advantage and runs out the clock to victory against 4-5 enemies!
