Theses contracts are not worth the grind it just forces folk to spend on gold to purchase the vehicle for the sake of time and frustration. It's just not worth it!

You're right. Free boosts, consumables, silver and premium days you get for simply playing the game and completing contract stages are not enough. Shove them all, WG. You heard him. They're not worth it. Personally, I am so fed up of being showered in free ****, I want WG to start paying ME for playing. Enough is enough.

/sarcasm

There is absolutely no reason to spend gold on merc contracts (unless there are special circumstances).

If you don't like a particular contract or are not able to complete it at this time, cancel it and try a different one.

What's with all the recent rants anyways? Did a chicken crap in your coffee today, Easter style? ;)

Currently doing Tusk contract and don't feel forced into spending gold to complete. The side effect of doing this contract is that I have played the same 4 tanks almost exclusively and I think I might be improving as a player.

Gold is optional.  Frustration can be alleviated by taking a breather.  Medication helps.

Grandson started (i think 5 contracts) & i completed a few stages + bought out a few stages or simply purchased the contract. The reason i did this was the wee man was skipping stages & If i left the contract my guessing was it would be a waste of gold. So no worries.

I have completed several Merc contracts, including high tier ones such as Sharpshooter and Cruncher. I have not spent gold on any of them. It is definitely a grind. If you are unable to focus your attention on the contract or lack the time to complete it, then it's not worth worrying about them. But I disagree with the blanket statement that they are "not worth it." Several of them are very good, fun tanks. And the lower tier contracts are fun pastimes.

Not sure why you say "it just forces folk to spend gold"...just complete the stages...no gold required...and the "freebies" for completing the stages are nice little incentives as well...

Never skipped a stage, and the only one I find problematic is setting stuff on fire. Everything else is just playing tanks I would usually already play.

I'll have the Bigtop complete in a couple days, and while I do question whether it was a good decision to go through the hassle, I didn't feel any great urge to spend gold (that I don't even have) to complete any stages.  You can do these without spending gold.

I'm definitely grateful for the ability to earn premium time during the stages, which if timed right equates to more gold in the "Spring Games."   While the concept of the Mercs isn't always my favorite, the stage rewards more than make up for it.

Only not worth it if your trying for tank. I do them for the free exp and consumables plus if I get lucky I unlock the 3 day premium bonus stage. I do find the stage that requires u to kill an enemy by settling gn them on fire frustrating tho! They always stop the fire or die to a friendly killing. Or it's just impossible lol

also I think we need more time for the tier 9/10 contracts not less I can't even complete those in a month lol. I do have a t4/5 merc tho it's fun when the time limit is actually fair

Disagree 1000%

I've only completed a couple of Merc contracts (not a fan of the tanks), but I love having the option of earning free stuff along the way.  I've earned plenty of premium time for just playing.

True...several times I caught someone on fire just to have a teammate kill him before he completely flamed out...very frustrating it was...

OP left out the words "to me" after each of the "not worth it" bits. If you don't like 'em that's fine - don't play 'em.

Only contract I have yet to finish is the Tusk, which I never put much effort into since it does not seem worth it to me. On stage 5 now by accident, and plan to abandon it when The Machine finally comes out.

Yeah I don’t stress at all about it anymore.  If I complete the contract for a free tank, so be it, if I don’t, so be it.  Nearly to stage 7 on Tusk, but I’ve not been grinding hard at all for it.  Fact of the matter is I doubt I’ll even like the Tusk so I really don’t give a sh*t lol.

I'm actually forced rushing up the RamRod contract at that level that i have to get the overwhelming quantity of 218400 Xp points in 35 days!

In case no one gets the irony, the combined facts of the lack of rush and the lack of interest in any other contract makes the thing perfect to leave my actual contract laid back while doing other more interesting stuff as i have that actual contract more than secured in the given time.

Some might say i'm not constructive enough... Too bad i'm actually a deconstructivist

I know it's probably not a popular suggestion to make, but WG should close that loophole. Really devalues premium time, the fact that we can "farm" it.

Why? It benefits both the players and WG. Players get free premium time, WG gets players. This is no unintentional loophole. Leave it be.

It just seems like an exploit to me.

Currently working this on and This is the only contract I came close to skipping a stage on, the damn double your HP in damage almost broke my will

All I had that qualified where the e50 the jammer and the kraft panther. I actually complete all 4on the K panther and earned my first moe on it because of that lol

To the topic at hand I don't have a problem with it, the premium time is worth it though the xp requirements seem a little excessive at times.
