So obviously you guys see these things a lot and invariably a lot of people means a lot of different t opinions. That said I've noticed a trend from lots of the forumers. Basically when you guys get asked a lot of you tend to reply with Tanks that are good for you guys. However I think it's safe to say most of you are better than the average player., andyou guys skew towards Tanks that are really good... If you can make them work.

For example the sta-2 gets brought up a lot. Which while a great tank the average player for their first premium is a horrible tank as it is one that only really shines if you are pretty good already. I am not a great player by any stretch, and I tend to play alone, but if someone had told me to get that as my first premium because it's awesome I might have quit the game. It takes skills to get it to work properly and it tend to be ones that take longer to get good at, mobility, positioning, map awareness etc.

So all that said which Tanks do you guys are best for a newish player or someone not a good player (not looking to buy one myself atm though I probably qualify.. I tend to purchases Tanks I like the way they look lol)

ETA my thoughts from lower reply:

me it should be a tank that survives well so as to give someone time to learn from the match. New players tend to get chewed up in a match so fast they got no time to learn from it without grinding it out which can be frustrating.

If someone where to ask me what's first premium they should get I would reply with

Captured Kv-1

Tier 8 you’re looking for?  Or any tier?  Preference on class of tank?  You want PMM?

Get the Defender (Obj. 252U) if you can. It's easy to play and forgiving if you make a mistake. It's armor is ridiculous and gun has a high alpha, so it's also a lot of fun to play.

Once you are comfortable with it you can explore more demanding (i.e. less armored) vehicles like the Nomad or T32a and look at mediums and lights.

There are so many Premiums in the game right now, I am sure you will find something that suits you. What's you preferred play style?

As I said not looking for me so replies can be based off whatever tier or benefits the tank has. Only real requirement is to keep in mind for new/below a g players.

And I should have posted my thoughts lol

See, I was gonna suggest the Churchill 3.  Gets PMM whereas Captured KV-1 doesnt.

A good premium for the lower skilled player?

IS-6, Object 252U, Chrysler K, T34, T26E4, Scourge.
Basically, something big, slow, well armoured and dumb. You're not going to be getting the highest scores with those tanks, but you're going to live long enough so that it looks like you're participating.

You can PM with with questions, if you wish. I don't bite.

Compilation thread of my ideas

Or the V/IV, but according to win rate it’s underpowered. :) So I’ll put it on 3.

Not sure if I would suggest t34 for a low skill player as the only armor it has is the turret and unless you know hulldown or ridgelining you are going to get murdered in it. Same for Super Pershing you have to know how to cover up its weaknesses like the MG port commander hatch/top of turret and to never let yourself get flanked

I’d pick super Pershing out of that list first.  Russians have no depression and poor aim time, new players I think would struggle with them.  Chrysler K is good but if you have poor map awareness or lack the skill to protect your sides, your toast.  That’s just my opinion tho.  Also, super Pershing also gets PMM.

The Churchill III needs to spam premium ammo even being top tier, whereas the Captured KV-1 doesn't. Even being low Tier.

Yeah, I just don’t see this as an issue tho.  Inexperienced player is probably gonna be spamming premo anyway whether they’re in Churchill or KV-1.

Captured KV and Churchill III.

I wouldn't advise tier 8s for newer and inexperienced players, because they cost too.much and are in a more hotly competing tier. But If I had to recommend one it would be the KV-5 because it's pretty easy to handle and forgiving. However for that price a new player could get a tier 5 for every nation and learn a lot more whilst training up multiple crews.

Well, i don't want to enter in how experienced i'm or not, but i can tell you that the KV-1 Captured it's, for me, one of those tanks that needs less Premium spam to actually get things done. Of course if you're heading into three marking or even two marking it sure you'll need that but, honestly, it's not of an issue at all.

It's more or less like running in a overall up-tiered tech tree Matilda, it can trash the opposition as top tier, it can defend itself as low tier. Considering obvious differences

Seeing that we each have played over 20k battles (and this is the only account Ive ever had), I wouldn’t say we were inexperienced by any means lol

Along with the CKV-1 and C3 already mentioned...

If low tiers still had any population, and you could buy it, I'd say the Mini-Maus.  If you could still do ops at tier 4 I'd say the Pz B2.

I might also counsel against the Church 3, as its low armor might frustrate a new player.

Shayul Ghul's suggestion of Captured KV  is solid.     Defiance Matilda would be a good pick a well for a new player.

SU-76i, B2, Valentine II, Churchill 3, Excelsior, British Bulldog, every premium artillery. Those are easy to use and good for new players. I wouldn't recommend tier 7-8 vehicles for new players, except HMH: FV305 and maeby Mutant and Jagtiger 8.8
