Could someone please explain how the repair costs work?

This is probably me being in my dotage but we pay for repair kits at 3000 silver each, no problem with that part, but I've just had a battle (obj 257) used one repair kit and one med kit both small. Then why does it show 18,800 repair costs? The costs should surely be kits used 6000 and resupply 6000 a total of 12,000,or am I missing something? I know in the grand scheme of things it's not overly important but I'm just not getting it. Could the wiser heads than mine on here elaborate please.

Much appreciated :)

Unless you go through a match without getting damaged, there will be additional repair costs. At lower tiers, it isn't usually much, but at higher tiers, the repair costs become quite noticeable.

It is difficult for most players to run high tiers and turn a profit.

Thanks for your reply.

I'm finding it a little weird among the top tiers the gameplay is different to what I usually play (t6 to t8) guess I'll just have to suck up the occasional silver losses and re-evaluate my play style!

Yup, gameplay is a lot different, and it is easy to lose a LOT of money if you are not careful.

Mistakes are punished harshly, and getting sent back to the garage early cost you a LOT of silver.  Even surviving but not doing much will cost you silver.

Or if you play the poop barn and load 12 hesh rounds you can expect to lose 40k even in a good game hahaha.

I play my premiums mixed in with high tiers to counter the thecsilver losses. I always expect to lose and if I profit it’s not much usually.

Dunno exactly how they scale the tank repair costs, but I do know there's an extra chunk tacked on if you die, vs if you survive. This is just an example with nice round numbers for the purpose of explaining. Take your average T10 tank, if you lose half your HP, you'd pay 20k to repair it, if you lost all but 1 HP, you'd pay 39,995 to repair it, but if you die, you'd pay 50k to repair it.

If at first you don't succeed, redefine success.

The repair costs at the end of a battle are to repair all damage to your tank, the kits are a temporary fix to get you going again mid battle or treat an injured crew member, put out a fire and so on.

Thanks for all your replys.

The kits being a temporary fix actually does make sense to me now. I suppose it's up to me to get better and adjust to the heady heights.

Funny thing is that the obj257 is my sons tank and I was trying to get the crew up to 100% for him after he moved it up! Still a way to go on the learning curve yet:(
