I don't play many tier 8 and above games these days but I'm quite tempted to take the special offer of 5200.

If you own it or have fought against it, what do you make of it?

Thanks in advance.

Love it.  Plays like the BERT , but longer range.

Is it as stealthy as Bert was?  --the old Bert, or is it more like new Bert?

I bought it and quickly sold it.

But I'm not much of an arty player.

I'm just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round

Camo is 0.27 still, 0.15 moving. Better than the Bert basic.

This tank is a rare arty,  even if you are not ready to play it, you should still take it with that price.  I love my FV305, it's not the damage machine, not stat padding tank,  I have something like 46% win rate because you just can't carry teams with arty, but it's still a keeper and I regularly run Ops with it when I start getting bad matchmaking.

Cons:

- It has short range about  100m over the detection ring.

- It has low alpha damage, no one-shot kills, you do low rolls a lot like 300hp if you get a good hit.

- You see tier IX and X battles a lot, you are bottom tier and pen even less due to armor of high tier.

- It turns like a boat

- It has low hit points, it's one-shot kill to many mediums and some light tanks

Pros:

- It's fast 68km/h,  you can follow heavy tanks close and escape slow light tanks.

- The rate of fire is good, you can sent shell out faster than some heavy tanks repair their tracks.

- The arch is nice, with right distance shell comes almost vertically down (it's bye bye arty safe)

- It's accurate, with skills and boots, etc, you can hit the tank with almost every shot.

- It makes steady silver specially when it's bottom tier, you just have to make some hits.

It's basically all that arty haters want arty to be, it gets close, it can be one-shot, it does not one-shot anyone and it can be really useful as a fire support to heavy tanks.  A definitely a catch if you get it 50% discount.

It's awesome, one of the funniest premium tanks in the game. Definitely worth the prize :) I'm loving it!

Thanks very much folks, esp. SPUK4U.

I'll sleep on it but will probably get it now.

Cheers.

Ps. Does prammo make much difference?

Also, if you use food but no prammo then what are the typical silver earnings for an average game?

And finally, would you use it in Ranked Battles?

Thanks for your help.

The premium gets 5mm or so extra pen and a slightly better splash radius.  Back when I was grinding it for MoE I was running straight prammo with food and still managing 40-60k profit if I could hit around 2500-3000 damage.  Easy 60-100k+ profit without food or excessive prammo for the same damage output.

If any artillery would be good at Ranked it would be Fat Bert.  That shorter range it has also translates to higher shell arcs.  Higher shell arcs give you more real estate you can hit behind a wall.  Most Ranked maps are small and you can use that to your advantage once you know what you can get away with shooting over and where to shoot from.

I’ve got 2 MoE and a few hundred games in mine. Love it!

In a bad game 50k, good game +100k :) it has 57% silver bonus

I like to run my snakebite crew in mine to get that little bit better accuracy. It is a arty I play to have fun. It’s great when you can keep an E3 perma tracked cause his crew is crap :arta:

It gets extra camo when in water. The deeper the better. Something about Britain being an island I think.

I love mine overall, except the slow aim time. It is my most played tank by far. Get if your able to you won’t be sorry.

^^^ This +1 ^^^

And to add also - as this is arty: it’s relatively good even for zero skill 75% crew to get to 100% and its first skill. Of course experienced crew is far better if you want better game experience.

I keep FV304 as it is most fun arty with nice unique gameplay. Always wanted FV305 even fullprice, but it was never available to buy. Now it is even cheaper! Played 5 battles yesterday and it is absolutly cool fun arty, it farms 100k easy!
